for whatever reason i (maybe we) can only post every 45 seconcds. now i realize this is to prevent spamming the boards, but i can post 3 messages in 3 threads in 45 seconds sometimes. is there anyway we can make this shorter, even to 30 seconds, though 15 or 20 would be ideal. thats all.

The rule is obviously not stopping the CD Key spammer

I was going to lmao if the spammer started this thread.

alright, the cd key spammer is more to do with a mod not being on i would say, i mean anyone can spam whenever they want

after thinking for 1 extra second, would there be a way to just limit time on new threads and not posts

I definitly agree that there should be a time limit before someone is able to create a new thread.

their should be a rating system (kinda like the thread rating system, 1-5) where we can rate how well we enjoy each individual poster's posts...then posters with an average rating of 4-5 should be aloud to post every 15 seconds...posters with an average rating of 3-4 should be aloud to post every 25 seconds...posters with an average rating of 2-3 should be aloud to post every 35 seconds...posters with an average rating of 1-2 (aka scorch) should be aloud to post every 10 minutes

it may be a little difficult to put in place, but it'd be cool...maybe

that sounds really complicated, what if you could do it by rank, so people with 1000+ can do it every 15 seconds and work our way down

you mean people with over 1000 posts? or their should be a rating system where you start off with 1000 points and you lose for every time you post something sucky....leading to you having to wait longer to post?

it's all really complicated and not a big enough problem that i think Cheapy is going to worry about...i doubt he really cares if we can post more often than 1 post every 45 seconds

The time limit is worthless on most boards.

If one is a good spammer, they easily know how to get around it.

It is annoying to have the time limit, when you see 2 threads you want to post in

Haha rating posts sucks. One of the reasons I hate FW. I think they changed it so that people can't downvote paid advertisements anymore because EVERY SINGLE ONE was immediately turned full red.

LOL CHANCE FOR PM AT STAPLES?!? YOU SHOULD'VE PUT IN MAIN POST RED 4 U.

Thanks for your comments, but I can't really imagine a scenario where it would be necessary to post more than once every 45 seconds.

Its been a prob for me too, but I dont mind waiting 2 more seconds, also dropout, that would be bad cause fi a deal was available and they could only post everyten minutes it would hurt.

Actually, I agree with the OP of this thread and was just about to maybe create a similiar topic. For me, sometimes I'm in a hurry or in a rush and just want to post a couple of things quickly, well that extra time can really add up when you're in a real rush. I wouldn't mind if maybe the time limit dropped down to 30 seconds though. It would work a lot better IMO. And I agree with the rest, that there should be a time limit between thread creations.

True. But, it does get me sometimes since I type uber-fast.

No biggie, though.

I noticed the time limit for the first time today.

Seems to me this is the final word. :)
With that said, it really doesn't even seem that strict a restriction.
I mean, I've even seen people working around it by editing thier own previous posts.
