Have you guys heard anything on a price drop for the SP anytime soon? I'm wanting to get a SP again, and didn't know if the price on the SP would be dropping since the Micro is getting ready to come out.

I can get a Cobalt SP with Metroid for $72 after my discount at Wal-Mart. Should I buy it now or wait a while?

I doubt any price drop soon...

And at that price it comes with a game already... why not get DS w/ Mario bundle? $129

Consider:

SP: $79.99
Micro: $99.99
DS: $129.99

There is a $20-$30 gap between each system, I think Nintendo will keep it dat way...

Sounds like a good deal for the SP. I would get it.

I'd get a DS, but I bought it on launch and didn't care for it much. I've owned 2 GBAs, an SP, and DS. I really liked the SP out of those.

*edit*
I can also get the Platinum one which comes with Zelda II. Which one seems better, the Cobalt with Metroid or Platinum with Zelda II?

You can find them in good condition with box for $40-50 on eBay, and get even better deals if they're bundled with games. They don't have problems like the original GBA does with scratched screens and other misc damage since they fold and protect themselves better. But just my opinion.

If you're going to buy new, I'd say to buy the micro, since it's only a few dollars more (18 for you I guess)

I had a NES one but took it back and used the money to get a DS. I wish I still had it.

ot most likely

but

Did anyone notice that the Nes sp screen being brighter than the older ones? I have a black one from 2 years ago, and about 9 months ago I compared it to my bro's Nes sp and his seemed way brighter.

I was at bestbuy today and saw a Colbalt SP with a Final Fantasy game and Metroid Zero Mission for $79.99. Can I use the GGC on that? If so, I think that is a better deal by far compared to the SP w/ NES Metroid for $72.

I don't really know what it is worth, but if I still had mine I'd value it at about retail price of the SPs right now, or even a little under that. I doubt anyone would pay $99.99 for a used one now.

 Did they just drop the price on that bundle? I was at BB last week and it was still $99. I've been looking to get another SP as well and this bundle looks like it's the way to go.

After taking a quick look at some Ebay completed auctions: About $70

You mean $28 more. Why would you want a micro? It doesn't fold, it doesn't play any GB/GBC games, and it has a smaller screen!

Hopefully they will keep their value up longer. I have a used one without a box.

No price drop but a new color is being released on the same day as the Micro.

It said $79.99 on the shelf, you might wanna give it a look. Also, do you know if we can use the GGC on it?

I think I will go back and give it another check. Thanks for the heads up.

As for the GGC, I doubt they'll work on it, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Ok, LMK if it is $79.99. It could have been put in the wrong place when I saw it, but there was also 3 or 4 of them in that spot. I bet it dropped. I'll probably pick one up on Monday.

I went to bestbuy today, and bought that SP with Metroid Zero Mission and FF TA. It said $79.99 on the shelf, but rang up $99.99. The mod or whatever said he'd give it to me for $89.99 so I bought it.

I'm not for sure if I'm going to keep it or not. I might pick up the GBA micro when it comes out. Nintendo is killing me.
