I guess the primary follow-up question on everyone's mind is: Why wasn't Batman and the rest of the Super-Best-Friends able to stop them?

Aquaman is the weakest superhero concept ever. His weakness is oxygen. OXYGEN!

"Hi! I can swim really fast and talk to fish! My likes include swimming and fish! My dislikes include oxygen and fishermen."

yeah, he's always like "hey hey, I'm king of the sea!"

and superman is like "...yeah... ok, I've got laser eyes. Do you know what laser eyes can do? Not to mention x-ray vision? Oh and did I mention that I could pound the living fuck out of every single other JLA member? cool. go play with some dolphins or a seal or something."

Art Bell still does the weekend show Saturday and Sunday nights. George Noory does the M-F.

I can't sleep without the TV or radio on and that's who's on when I get up to whiz at 3AM.

Ha! Shows what you know. He's actually the prince of the sea. PRINCE! But seriously folks, what the fuck is up with superman's disguise? Batman has a mask, Superman has glasses. GLASSES! They're either magical glasses, or everyone else in metropolis uses US DOD facial recognition software.

As far as lame superheroes go - Antman is pretty lame. He can shrink down to the size of an ant, but he'll still have the power of a human being. Oh, and I'm pretty sure he can talk to ants too. Whoa.

i think superman is a pretty lame concept. he has every super power. it just makes him boring.
batmans cool because he kicks so much ass without any powers.

Yeah, but I think you should get deeper in the mythos.

I mean, kryptonite f's him up pretty bad, and if I'm not wrong so does fire.

Anyway, he was originally supposed to be a villan ala the American moralistic interpretation of Nietzchie's uberman back in the early century - destroying outdated moral codes with his own vision through his will to power (and several other powers as well)

Eventually the concept was Americanized, and interestingly in the Smallville show I think that Lex Luthor acts like the ubermensch, when he isn't acting like a lunatic or bowing to the will of his father.
