Since we have this so-called 'Buddy List' which does absolutley nothing, why not change it to 'Add to Ban List' instead, as its an actual useable feature?
What I mean is when you click on someones name it gives you a few options like View Profile, Send PM, or Add to Buddy list. Change it to Ban and this place will be a much nicer place ;)

blah... Just get along with people. You're more uptight than Scorch could be, even if he tried.

... This has nothing to do with me. Why have an option like 'Add to Buddy List' when it does nothing? Alot of people have alot of others banned.

I know they do. I wasn't trying to point you out for that. I just don't think it's very healthy to ban everyone. If you can't get along with people on the intraweb or deal with your own emotions regarding others, how do you expect to get through real life? But that's just how I feel. I just think the ban feature is lame in the first place...
But others will probably agree with you.:-#

I have this jackass ignored so I can't read what he's saying... but what is the point of a "ban" list? Just because you think someone should be banned, that would automatically do it?

What is the general theory behind the buddy list?

LOL. I'm sorry Leena, or Lina, or whatever you are this week. Thanks for remind me to ignore you.

I was wondering that myself. Unless admins can use the info, there doesn't seem to be a reason for it.

Buddylist adds a green "+" sign after someone's name(whoever is on your buddylist) when it shows the list of CAGs online. This is only helpful to see if your friend is online. I agree that adding someone to the ignore list option should be easier than adding to the buddylist, which I nor I believe anyone ever uses.

It does do something. If you add a person to your buddy list, you are able to see if they are online or not when you open the buddy list, and you are able to PM a bunch of them at one time. I'm not saying that's a lot, but it does do something.
Alot of people have alot of others banned.
What are you talking about? Not 1 person has ever had another 1 person banned. Said banned person would had to have broken the CAG TOS, etc.
There is no need for an add to ban list. Just ignore the person your don't like. Ignoring the person is easy - just click on their profile and add to ignore.

When he says "ban list" he means "ignore list".

I thought maybe he meant that, but how much easier could it be? Click on the person's profile and click add to ignore?

What he is saying is it's easier to add someone to your buddy list, which you use less often just by clicking on their name above their avatar and it brings a list of options up. While with ignore you have to actually go in their profile. He is just asking for things to be more efficient.

Or, you can just change the link.
Like when I click on zewone's name:

Change buddy to ignore.
