Great game, I played this all the time when I was little.
My favorite NES game of all time.
No joke.
I played this game like 2 hours a day every day of life until my brother took my copy to school and LOST IT.

Well, now you can make him replace it, lol.

I like the fact that when you hit them hard enough, they actually DIE, with their little souls rising out of them. Anybody a theology/philosiphy major? You could write a thesis paper on this.

I could have sworn I read the GBA version sucked compared to this one. Does the GBA version have all the moves/characters/modes that the NES version has? Whys it better?
I was gonna wait to get a GBA Player for River City Ransom Advance but if this game is good on GBA Ill get it soon. :)

I just picked this game up on ebay recently and I can't wait to get it. This, World Cup Soccer and Super Spike V Ball were all really fun sports games for the NES.

naw, I think the NES version is way better than the GBA version. I'm not quite sure what it is...some gameplay elements have changed here and there. I have the japanese versiion but haven't played it for a looooong time like since I first got my gba. But I still thought the NES version was better back then.

sorry but the GBA version is FAR superior
I am old enough to have actually played not only the NES version but also the arcade version..
basically the GBA version is nearly identical except new players and new moves as well...you have more throw styles for the super blasts
also the story mode in the GBA is great while the NES version was really easy to finish
