Since I am a netflix subscriber I periodically get emails for free month trials, I believe there standard free trial is 2 weeks if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, if no one else at your address is a netflix subscriber and if you have never tried netflix before, you are eligible to give them a try. If you had been considering trying it, you can get through about 4 cycles of 3 movies in a month. Here's the link.

The email also mentions this offer can only be used so many times, so first come first serve, and enjoy.

Do you have to take 1 of the pre-paid plans to get the free month?

I guess it depends on how close to a facility you are, I can get 2 cycles of movies a week pretty easily, 18-20 movies a month.

It's always timing with me, I would get twice the cycles if the facility was open on Saturdays. Most of the time the dvd will be processed, but not leave till the next day and there is the occasional time when the dvd takes more than one day for it to arrive at their facility or to mail to me. Plus, I mostly rent TV shows so I can't always watch them in one day either.
Now that I think of it, the free trial people will almost certainly be able to get a cycle of 8 or more in a month, as free trial people have been proven to have higher priority than paying members.

Sweet deal. I use Netflix, and I get my movies within one day. Ship the 18th, receive the 19th. Great service, too. I reocmmend them.

If you live by a Blockbuster, I highly recommend Blockbuster online. I've used it as well as Netflix and found out that they are equally fast. I've stuck with Blockbuster though because they give you 2 free rentals a month for in store use. Plus they always send out new coupons like: 1 free DVD, or buy one get one free.
Oh, and did I mention that you can use the free in-store coupons on games? It's worth it IMO.

To anyone who has done this before, is it possible to get the free month w/o paying for anything, like their pre-paid plans?

not sure what you mean, but you have to fill out your info and provide a credit card number, which is set up for auto renewal at the end of the trial period, unless you cancel.

I got my dvd's they are fast. For blockbuster it took me about 3 days to get a movie and a week for them to get mine back. Netflix sent my dvd's monday I got them tuesday morning. It does help that they have a distro in my city Dayton, Ohio. Which is awesome Dayton never gets anything. I am sticking with Netflix.

I've tended to agree with this . . . 2 free game rentals per month (games out for 12 days because of the no late fees policy0.
But now that they raised my fee to $17.99, I'm thinking of switching.

Are you guys choosing the "start your free trial tab" and then choosing the 17.99 3 out at a time option? Are we positive it can be canceled before a month and no charge incurred?

Did anyone cancel their trial yet? Or is it ok to just cancel on the last day?
