Ok just got my nephew a DS and I want to know which games are must haves for the DS that are 2 players with a single cart. Thanks!

Depends on his age. Advance Wars is fun but for a pre-teen and up. Hands down...best game I've played. You might wanna go with Mario Kart later on...you can never go wrong with throwing a banana at you friend.

Yea he's only 7 and plays the shit out of Nintendogs. We played Ridge Racers a couple of times and it was pretty cool.

I'll also go with Zoo Keeper - very addiction - I got a copy off of shrike for my sister and ended up getting hooked myself
You liked Ridge Racers? I heard such bad stuff about it I didn't pick it up for my sister.

Yea, I mean its nothing big but I think its worth the 10 bucks.Most of the single-cart multiplayer games I've played are kind of stripped down, like Nanostray and Mario. Still fun, but not worth getting for the multiplayer.
Meteos is really great. The only drawback to Meteos is that if one person doesn't own the game, he's probably not good enough to make the match very fun. Even more so if he's seven years old haha.
I'd recommend Bomberman. It's made for multiplayer, and the single-player is quite a bit worse than the multi. (That scores it more points since the question is about a multiplayer game right?) But I actually don't have Bomberman so I can't really claim to know what I'm talking about.

OTOH, if both players have a copy of Meteos, it's more fun also because you can have computer players.

The only games I have ever played multiplayer on my DS are teh Metroid Demo which stinks and Mario which is OK. I have Ridge Racer DS on its way, because I always wanted to play mulitplayer on that.
The game I really want to try is Goldeneye, if anyone would ever trade me for it.

yea bomberman is great with 2, well actually it is a lot beter if you got around 4+ people
