After reading about Animal Crossing DS and looking at the list of DS owners, I'm wondering if Animal Crossing is going to be the first internet connected game or are there some already out or soming soon?

So far the games with wi-fi connectivity are:

Tony Hawk's American Sk8land
Animal Crossing
Mario Kart
Metroid Prime: Hunters

Here's hoping they're able to hijack normal peer-to-peer wireless through a firmware update to turn every local multi game into an internet multi game. Somewhat akin to kalierra, or another LAN wrapper that escapes me.

Mario Kart will be a first, that's why Nintendo did that campaign in the theathers all across America. It's said to come out around this November. Animal Crossing also will have Wi_Fi which will be released sometime around there.

That would be incredible if they could do that. It would give new life to even the somewhat crappy DS games. Is it even possible though?

Also thanks for the shortlist. Ill have to add mariokart to my must buy list. I usually wait on those since they never go down in price and noone ever turns used ones in for trade. I might even add sk8land if it gets good reviews.

I'm guessing it costs a pooload of money to add that feature into games since theres very few that are utilizing it. Would have been great to see the ultimate card/board DS games come out with it.
