God damn, having no long distance sucks. The nearest GameStop round these parts is about an hour drive away, and I don't have a house phone or cell phone (theoretically, if I dropped dead tonight, nobody would find me for about a week), so can anyone tell me how much I would get for a used Xbox in terms of trade in value? And are they still doing that deal where you can get 40% more value if you trade in 4 games? What about the deal where you get an extra 20% trade in value if you use your store credit on a pre-order? I really don't wanna spend a ton of money on gas, drive to GameStop, and then get told that my Xbox is only worth $30 trade in, and they have zero trade in offers. Thanks in advance.

trade 4 or more get 40% is still going on. I don't know when it's going to end. I wouldn't think it would this week since all the managers and corporate are at conference.
Xbox nets you $65 in store credit. The 20% deal is towards a reserve, but it's YMMV if consoles apply. You could always trade in the xbox, put it on a reserve then when the game comes out, just ask for the credit back. So you get the 20% and don't have to buy that game if you dont want to.

Actually, that type of thinking is the exact opposite of logic. You would think someone who is accessing the internet from a 56k dialup connection would have a telephone, since it's the same thing they use for their internet. A broadband user doesn't need a telehpone line, but rather, cable based suches and things. Whatever. I don't have a house phone, and instead just use a cell phone, but the thing about cell phones is, when you don't pay your bill, they shut off your service. And right now, having the ability to talk to people on a phone is something I don't need or want.
And I live in Southern Minnesota, and the closest GameStop location is accessible on roadways that are under heavy construction. Stop and go BS like that. On the weekends, the drive is only about 35 minutes long though.
