it's http://www.openoffice.org/ and it's an office alternative, not microsoft office.

and it's been available forever.

And the program is assy if you want to ever collaborate with other people. Good luck trying to import/export complicated spreadsheets to another person that uses Excel.

Might want to remove the word "Microsoft" from your title - very misleading.

This isn't a Microsoft Office Suite, it's an alternative suite.

I know some people that swear by openoffice. I'm too used to MS to make the switch.

If it weren't for the fact that I automate pretty much everything I do in Word/Excel/Access using VBA/VB, OpenOffice might be decent...and who wants to learn whole new object models and what have you? hehe

It actually works decently with Excel. But it is generally pretty spotty... kinda like the GIMP...
