SOCOM 3 Clan

I propose we set up a CAG clan for SOCOM 3 since it's being released within a few weeks hopefully :)

I for one plan to pick it up day of release! :D

*sigh* I kinda wish the rank system didn't go haywire and reset my scores and all after the reset... I had gotten an extremely good set of scores and all, got to Captain, and I could have easily stayed there when it reset everything and I just quit :/

My friend is a beta tester for Socom 3 and I was over at his house playing it for a bit. I'm a n00b at Socom but how in the world can people tell where to shoot? I guess it's the camo of the models, but it's hard for me to differentiate the enemies to shoot from the background.

Well SEALS wear camoflauge (usually somewhat colorless as it can only be so vibrant for a PS2 hehe) and the huge maps add some fog to it, and then pretty much anything that moves that doesn't have a white name over their head is prey.

And if we got some more people, and some discipline, we could kick some butt :D

I don't mind waiting as much as I hate what they did to the way the game plays...big empty maps...shooting physics were off...i loved the first one, and played it to death...didn't enjoy the 2nd one as much

just saw the review, after a padded ign score of 90, gamespy gave it a 70...1up gave it a 70 as well but that was just for the single player with online to be reviewed later

Other than sturdiness and comfort the headsets work the same. The logitech is much comfier and you are never afraid of it falling apart like the original Socom Headset.

Why did they still leave talking in game assigned to a button press?? I agree it adds to the reality of battlefield communication but c'mon.....HALO 2 is the performance mark now.

We should try and figure a time and room to get the clan organized. Im all for letting someone else be the leader of the clan this time. Last time there was never more than 2 people on at a time and nobody would accept the invites and if they did they never played.

I'm more concerned about the hit detection than the aiming. In socom 2 I would see somebody and accidently pull the trigger once and they would drop

Even though it supposedly takes less hits to take people down, I think it feels like more..but the guns are more accurately described and used..and it's VERY fun in small games online, no lag, AWESOME hit detection (No 5 foot tracing for lag! even in 32 player rooms!)

I gotta say though, even though I have an Xbox the graphics blow for this game. The back of the box had some pretty nice looking screens but when I started my first online game, it looked like I stepped back in time and was playing a PS1 game. Even my bro was watching and he couldnt believe that the graphics were that bad.

been playing a bit....their scoring is all mucked up but they said it should all be fixed soon.

LOVING the Convoy mode and Control Points modes. Definitely requiring alot more strategy for those modes......not that every random person you play with recognizes that....hence the need for clans.

I am looking to get the game myself. I want to be a part of a clan when I get setup I will post my name. I think the biggest improvment to this game from socom 2 is that you get to use vehicles. I cant wait to get it.

Yeah don't get to excited about the vehicles there just okay. I only use them to get across the map really fast. There kinda like the air strikes in Socom 2 you expect this huge bomb and mass pandemonium to happen. then you see it really happen it's very disapointing
