I ordered Monday night around maybe 11pm. Got it this morning. I picked the cheapest shipping method which is UPS Ground. I ordered Dot Hacks Part 2 and 4. I already have 1 and 3. The problem is that the games might be resealed. Because there is no sticker at the top of the case. The pics prove. So what do u guys think? Is it resealed or not?

Without a sticker, than yes, it's a reseal. PS2 games do not ship out without the sticker on top.

That's misinformation. Recent printings of PS2 games do not have the seal.

True but those were printed way before they started that new policy. Definetly get replacemets on the ones sans stickers.

.hacks haven't been reprinted though. Also, I haven't heard of new PS2 games shipping without a seal. The last PS2 game I bought was Madden 06 which is fairly recent.
I would assume they are resealed.

all the way back in MAY games have been shipping without the seal.....even older games that have seen reprints or new orders such as some older greatest hits came without seals

Which games are shipping without seals? Is their an article somewhere? Like I said, I bought Madden 06 and it had a seal same goes for We Love Katamari.

Well, I didn't know this, I've just never encountered one without the seal.
Atelier Iris, Radiata Stories and Stella Deus are 3 I have bought without stickers.

It's not all games, just some of the companies from what I can gather stopped with the seals. Makai Kingdom, Stella Deus, Atlus games, many others have been found without the seal and not as resealed. I was just saying it could be a possibility these .hack games are of a recent printing without the seal.

Those look factory sealed. Some newer games have been coming without the security sticker (Lego Star Wars, to name one). Since Gexpress.com is one of the places that got preprints of the Cube RE games first, I think you're looking at a reprint.

I think they're legit. I think it's too hard to do the cellophane "folded corners" type of re-seal. If it was just normal blow dryer shrink-wrap, then I'd worry.

What is the point in having unopened games, i realize collectability but it seems like just a waste of money, buy a statue if you want something to look at and collect dust.

Another member several months back says his copy of .hack didn't have the seal on the top as well.
It has been posted about 10 times now that new sony playstation 2 games do not include the seal.

Those are factory sealed reprint's, now if only they had offered a cardboard sleeve for the set :)

I wouldn't rule out the possibility that they're issuing reprints of the .hack games. They are fairly hard to find these days, and there's a new one coming out at the end of the year.

Does those included the anime dvd? I think you should open them and let us all know :P
I recently got Grafitti Kingdom, and it didn't have the sticker
If I collected unopened games, I wouldn't want any that didn't have the top sticker seal. Whether it was produced without it or not.
Years down the road you're going to have a lot more trouble convincing people you didn't reseal it yourself. Just my 2 cents.
Sucks that Sony is letting companies put out PS2 games without that sticker.

Well, I just bought We <3 Katamari...no sticker...it's my first one like that. :( I like to take the stickers off and put them inside the case behind the manual.

Gamecube games have never had stickers. And from my understanding, Sony themselves don't use the sticker anymore. I didn't think ANYONE did, the report of Madden '06 having it was the first I've heard otherwise.
I hate the stickers. They're hard to peel off, and doing so you usually have to pick up the plastic of the case a little. Worse, if the inside slip cover is sticking out of the case any at the top, then the sticker removes part of it when you peel it off.
Personally, I think packaging should be made to favor those of us who actually plan on opening & using the products, but that's just me... ;)

I've never heard of anyone doing that. I thought everyone just threw them away the the plastic.

I had to goto compusa to return some stuff tonight... there was a table with some clearance games on here.... and I found .hack Part 4... it was only $11.99! It had the sticker so most likely the op's are re-releases :\

I used to know somebody who would stick those things on the side of his desk.

I bought Katamari Damarcy (sp?) and Burnout Revenge this week, from two different stores, and neither had the top security seal.
Katamari is an older game, so yes, older games are shipping without the security seal for newer shipments.

Those games look factory sealed. Also I know for a fact that the .hack series has been reprinted recently which is why they dont have the seal at the top. pretty much all the sealed .hacks do not have the seals anymore because they are the reprints. I bought them from frys and they do not have the seal. this topic has already been covered many times

Yes, that would explain why Outpost.com had Parts 2 and 4 for sale recently, both with a free shipping promotion (they usually do not give free shipping to older games). Those titles are factory sealed just without the security sticker (which, as has already been mentioned, all new PS2 games do not have anymore).

The sticker was annoying, but it's nice to have on there.
If you end up at a store with a big bin of games...or like at Best Buy, where they are stacked. You can just look at the top of the games to see what games are there. Much easier than having to move them around to see the front /side cover.

Those look factory sealed. It's the firm wrap and folded on the corners. Resealed games tend to be in flimsy plastic wrap, (saran wrap almost,) and typically has holed where the "sealer" didn't melt enough.
