Sony, with less time to work with, did its best impression of Microsoft's business strategy by revealing that Dragon Quest VIII would be bundled with a playable demo of one of its highly anticipated games, Final Fantasy XII (http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/rpg/finalfantasy12/index.html).

This is great news for those that want the demo and were planning on getting DQVIII anyways. I wonder if these demos will become highly sought after since it seems, at least from the article, that they'll be available seperately. I know my interest in the game rose a little bit more after this bit of news.

I have no interest in DQ, but I'm dying to see what this new FF will be like. So hopefully the demo will be available outside of DQ.

'Bundled with' typically implies the demo will be packed in with 'the game...

This isnt the first time a Final Fantasy demo comes with a game. Remeber Tobal No.1 and Brave Fenser?

A very smart move. I'm sure some people that weren't sure about getting Dragon Quest VIII will be getting it now.

Hum, let's see... Dragon Quest VIII with a Final Fantasy XII demo vs. the 360 or Halo 3 vs. the PS3. Yeah, I think MS won that one... I love Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy, but there's no way I'm getting it any time soon. Maybe a few weeks earlier... Didn't they learn from Final Fantasy IX? Very few people (conpared to the other FF games) ever played it simply because it came out on the PS1 after the PS2 launch. Well, and the fact that VIII pretty much blew, but still. X-2 wasn't exactly a resounding success either.

Which is sad too, because FFIX was a great game, it's one of my favorites in the series.
