So after a pretty miserable Criminal Justice test, I decided to go pick up X-Men Legends 2 (both copies, yes Xecutioner, yours is on its way). While at Rhino, I got the itch.. the bite. The trade bite. You know the trade bite. That feeling where you just have to have something. You have to trade things in to get more stuff. Most of the times, I resist. Today, I couldn't.
Rhino's 2-for-1 is a great deal and I decided to take advantage. 360 games are on the list but apparently cannot be prebooked via 2for1, so I chose regular games instead. The great thing about Rhino is that you can trade in disc only copies and it won't devalue it. I traded some out of my personal stash, I traded some out of my rare stash, but I kept all of the cases and instructions. I know I'll find them cheap again soon, disc only.
Anyway. I traded in 12 games: Cold Fear, Conker, Metal Slug 3, Jade Empire (Limited Edition, but it was only the game disc, so there was no difference), Star Wars: Jedi Outcast, Silent Scope Complete, F1 2001, Moto GP 2, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, Unreal Championship 2, Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike, and Destroy All Humans. I could kick myself for traded in DAH in a 2 for 1, I should've found another $10 game, because I could've did a straight trade of DAH for Ninja Gaiden Black. Oh well.
So all in all, I have 6 new games reserved (or $300 in credit): Sims 2, 25 to Life, Battlefield 2, Half-Life 2, From Russia With Love, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
I don't have to get the games above, I can transfer them to anything, I just wanted the credit. In all actuality, i'm going to use it for Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, Battlefield 2, Battlefront 2, Castlevania, and probably (hopefully) get and return games for $50 in credit and get PD: Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3. So, technically, with tonight's run, I set myself up with everything I could want until 2006.
I then swung by GameCrazy. The manager had just got back from the vendor show (coolest manager ever, btw). He gave me The Warriors stickers, a pack of GUN trading cards, a Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood demo (by itself, not on a compilation demo disc), and he had some MK: Shaolin Monks preorder figures left over, so I got that as well. I then found the first Zelda game on GBA for $12.99, after leftover store credit and MVP discount, it was $7.50 or so. So I got that to play between classes.
So all in all, I traded in 12 games and got $300 in credit (though I did e-mail the president of Rhino because he told me I COULD 2for1 for 360 games, but the employees wouldn't let me), a GBA game to kill time, stickers, playing cards, and a demo. And "action figures". Not bad.
