Tony Hawk 3 Offline?

I finally installed my network adapter last night and the first thing I did was put THPS3 in to check out. I fiddled with the settings for about 30 minutes with no luck. I would get a message that essentially said "go buy THPS4" followed by "Gamespy could not be contacted."

Ok. Maybe I still don't have it set up right. I put THUG in and it fires right up, no problem. All the network settings are identical.

So has THPS3 been officially taken offline?

Probably, it was the first PS2 game to be online, so considering that they're working on the 4th THPS game since then would make it seem logical that 3 wouldn't be online anymore.

That sucks. I would think they would have at least let it run through the console's lifecycle.

Ah too bad, I used to play THPS3 online all the time. Even then though there wasn't very many people on, maybe 20-30 maximum and lots of the rooms were private.

That is, of course, if there is no peer to peer option. Is that an option in THPS3? I noticed you had the option to enter a server IP. Is this for Gamespy only?
