Well, I got the new OPM demo yesterda and first thing I played was the Soul Calibur 3 demo. I have to say, I'm now very excited about getting this game. The only graphical enhancements I noticed were the backgrounds are much more detailed than in SC 2. Since my version of SC 2 was the Xbox version, I have to say that the Xbox SC2 looks better than PS2 SC3. Not by much, but if you use to playing the Xbox version of SC2 you will notice it. The modes of play they have available in the demo were the Single player (with Kilik), VS (Tira and Mitsu), and Player Creation. I have to say the most fun I had on the demo was the Player Creation. With even just the limited options on the demo, I was able to create a pretty good looking "Harley Quinn" (Jokers Sidekick in the Batman comics/cartoon) using the clown outfit. Only if they had the fighter model that uses a giant hammer available in the demo and she would have been perfect.

I enjoyed the demo but I still don't see any reason to upgrade from SC on the DC. I passed on II and I'll probably pass on III.

They had the Demo disc in the PS2 at my local GameStop, It was okay.
But, unless a Xbox or GameCube version is announced I'm passing on SCIII as well.
Just doesn't seem worth it to me, exspecial since I'm not a fan of Fighting games on the PS2.

Definitly a game that will receive very high scores when it's released. Been on my radar for a good 7 months... need to pre order it now... it's October 25 when it coems out, right? also, how good is Tira and how different is Mitsurigi?

Burnout got a 5/5 most places, SC 3 will do the same I bet. It's a good time for replayable games!
Burnout Revenge
SOCOM 3
Soul Calibur 3
Woo.

It wasn't all that exciting, although I still want to get it. I'll probably wait until it goes on sale.

Fighting games in general just aren't what they used to be.
I was really dissapointed in SC 2 as well as Tekken 5--I doubt this will feel any different.

i really enjoyed the demo, even though it had only one character (kilik) in the story mode, the character creation demo was fun. My bro had a good idea, if you have the demo you should try it:
Make a ninja
bald
zorro mask
samurai armor
belt
no pants
no shoes
turn the mask and belt red
armor brown
and skin/hair/lips green
You got yourself a ninja turtle, friend!! It rocks!
Also, the demo runs at 480p so if you have an HDTV it looks real nice. The Starwars Battlefront 2 demo on the disc makes it a must buy, says I.

I'll pass... Dreamcast version was the best in the series...

I loved the demo as well, tho I was disappointed that they didn't let you try one of the new guys in single player.
What I did like was the branching mission mode. That feature looks to add more replayability to a series that's historically been crammed full of it anyway. Can't wait. :)
