Those are renders, chief. Not in-game shots. I think. Holy crap if those are in-game..
/edit: Someone looks to be a little too excited to play some basketball (http://sportsmedia.ign.com/sports/image/article/655/655097/nba-2k6-20050930031525402.jpg)

The article actually stated these are all in-game shots, not renders.

I go back and forth all the time on whether I'm glad I have a 360 preordered and partially paid off or regretting not being able to wait and see. Right now, it's the former.
Too ****in' bad Visual Concepts can't do an NFL (or NCAA football) game this coming generation.
Oh boy, Tiger is on Conan now to 'pimp' his lameass, even easier, middle-aged dad-pandering "Tiger Woods PGA 2006". I'll bet any money they show a polygonal Conan in goofy golf clothes duffing a shot. Wow, what a CUTE and CLEVER idea!

yup. I'm just going off of what the article said... the trailer is supposedly in-game footage too and it looks amazing...

Wow... looks nice. I'm not a basketball game fan, but I'd give the game a rental.

Remember the first screenshots of NBA Live 2001 for PS2? They looked awesome, but when the game came out, it looked nothing like the screenshots. Be warned.

The article in question has video. Watch it. It's been said several times, this is IN GAME.
Can't you people read?

While I'm 100% confident that those are in-game graphics, it IS important to remember that these close-up views and dramatic angles aren't the ones you'll be seeing 98% of the time in actual gameplay. Graphically speaking, this still bodes well for sports games for the 360.
Well, except for football, NASCAR, and--in all likelihood--PGA golf. Those will have to settle for 'visually underachieving', I would assume.

All the footage, from the video to the screenshots are 100% gameplay. I repeat, these are not cut scenes. These are not an artist's interpretation of gameplay. This is NBA 2K6.

Whats wrong with some of you, thats actual gameplay video and screenshots. We've never seen anything close to this and some of you are still skeptical. I guess some need to nit pick everything. I'll be getting it at launch and balling my a$$ off.

Bah! Thanks to that NFL-exclusivity agreement, we'll have no NFL 2K6 to play on the 360 - why can Visual Concepts pump out great graphics so quickly and it takes EA at least 1 year to get up to speed? Those Madden shots in the November EGM were God-awful. Soul Calibur and NFL 2K were the reasons I got a Dreamcast and made me very happy in 1999. DOA4 and NBA 2K6 (and Kameo and Condemned) will do the same in 2005.

Yep, that is exactly what the article says on the first page.
I think may have found the reason why I may by a system at launch for the first time ever.

This game's looking fantastic. Those player models are phenomenal. I can just taste their sweat through those screenshots. Yum.

Goddamn! That shit is beautiful. They got Ghostface and Del The Funky Homosapien on the soundtrack too. Fucking sold.
Look at the difference between the 5/17 and 9/30 videos. That's great progress.

the thing i really like about those screens, the graphics are nice, but the lighting really brings it all together, its very realistic (look at the reflections and glare on the ball)

Wow, it would be nice if they kept the price at $50...but I doubt it, this game does look sweeeeet though, I'm amazed. Nov.22nd cannot come fast enough.

Agreed, the shadowing seems softer and more realistic than most of the next gen games that have that 'hyper realism' look to them.
