View Full Version : Anyone ever bleach a yellowed console?

As you all probably know, NES's and SNESs are prone to yellowing over time. Has anybody ever tried soaking the the shell in bleach? I'm curious as to what would happen, and to what shade of white/yellow you'd end up with.

What about other cleaning solutions like CLR or something like that. Any thoughts?

I have always wondered about that. Im not sure weather it will work. You should go find some old computer monitors or cases since they tend to yellow up quite nicely and shouldnt be too hard to find.

in all honesty. I was gonna ebay my dreamcast because its plays imports and ended up taking a brilo pad to it seemed to work just fine.

So because your Dreamcast plays imports you took a brillo pad to it? Im lost

it was yellowed So i wanted to clean it up, I used a brillo pad and that worked for whatever reason. I wanted to ebay it but they sent me this warning saying I wasn't allowed to so i never bothered.
