So i went to gamecrazy to pre-order my xbox 360, and i missed the cut off date for the 1st shipment. Now i have to wait til the 2nd shipment,, which could be 1-2 weeks! Ahh. Gamestop doesnt even do the 2nd shipment, and there isnt a eb games near me and im not sure what their policy is right now either. But oh well, 1 more week wont kill me..
Whoa. It seems as though I lucked out this time.
I pre-ordered it Friday at GameCrazy. Originally, I went to GameSpot to preorder it and couldn't, as the preorders have ceased. So I went to GameCrazy, which I should have done anyway, as I prefer GameCrazy over all of the other gaming stores.
I found it interesting that GameCrazy is only selling the $399 model, too. I wonder if any other stores are doing the same...

I heard two weeks ago that EB is cancelling the SKU.....same with a lot of places...you might as well hop on that second shipment.

I have heard at my local EB the second shipment might not be shipped out till after X-mas.

The guy better have not been lieing about the whole second shipment thing or else! I might get the money back and just go camp out the night before and get it. Not sure yet though.

Well, it's too late to pre-order at GameCrazy, from the sounds of this thread. Kinda sucks, but I suppose that means I have more money in my pocket.

Bless you! You reminded me of my backup plan. Go to Sam's Club on release day. I have a business membership, so I can go there a few hours earlier than the normal members. Well, back to saving. :)

Sears, and Sam's Club are places people don't think about going to when purchasing getting video games. Also, the camp out thing can be kind of fun sometimes, but you gotta have a sidekick for bathroom breaks.

Toys r us isn't doing preorders, so camping there may be good. (I would never think of it for an opening night, but I have one right next to me.)

Hmm i really cant decided that i want to do. Im going to call costco and see if they will be selling them. I will also call kmarts and shit, smaller stores.

Sears is one that I was thinking of, but where I live, K-Mart is the place to camp. There isn't ever anybody there. But then again, there might not be any 360s either.

IF I get one at launch (still can't decide) then I'd camp at Walmart. Threres one about 2 minutes from my house. Or maybe Circuity City.

I get out at 1115 from school so i might beat the rush of people to all the stores since most people are working. I might just actually not go to school that day.

I think Sam's opens at 7 a.m. for business members, so I can go and then go to my part-time job... if I can save up the cash, that is. Wonder what kind of bundles Sam's will have...

I can vouch for Sears, got my PS2 on launch day from them oh so long ago.
