I was wondering if any of you CAGs could help me out. I'm considering buying a wireless keyboard/mouse combo. The problem is, I know nothing about them. The price is not really that important to me, but the cheaper the better. Quality however, cannot be sacrificed. What brand and/or model would be the best purchase for my money? Also if anyone is interested in trading theirs, check my list.
Thanks

Logitech. Can't go wrong there.
If you want super high end, go with the LX3000. It is a wireless keyboard + wireless laser mouse. I have the mouse itself - pure bliss.

If you want something a little lower end, get the LX300, LX500, or LX700. They are pretty much all the same, with some different keyboard layouts.

You can get them cheaper if you search around - dealnews.com usually has these popping up every once and a while. Some B&M stores will have them for like 35 bucks after mail-in rebates, and will appear every few weeks or so. I know CompUSA had one for $35 - a killer deal.
Here we go: 45 after rebate for the LX700

Amazing keyboards. Logitech really knows their shit.

Quality wise, nothing currently beats the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3100 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2162,CONTENTID=9950) set. The hair cheaper Cordless Desktop MX 3000 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2162,CONTENTID=10709) isn't too bad either. Although you can probably find the slightly older Cordless MX Duo set for quite a bit less and is the set that I have been using for over 18 months now.
Edit: Don't know much about the new Cordless Desktop MX 5000 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2162,CONTENTID=10776) they have listed on their site.

It depends on what you're using it for. I'm assuming you're referring to a PC mouse. Logitech arguably makes the best gaming mice along with Razer. If you want to use a mouse to game, don't get a wireless one, get a corded one.
In order from cheapest to most expensive:
Logitech MX510 (corded LED)
Logitech MX518 (corded LED)
Logitech MX1000 (wireless laser)
I picked up the MX510 and I'm loving every minute of it. I hate wireless mice because of lag. A lot of people love the MX1000 for gaming (although it is not really intended for that), but on the other hand a lot of people HATE it for gaming because it is so heavy.
I've never found a mouse / keyboard combo I've been happy with. For the past 5 years or so, I've been using a Microsoft WireLess Multimedia Keyboard and recently an MX510. Only bad part about this keyboard is the stupid "F Lock" if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

I don't see why the MX 1000 would be bad for gaming - I can't imagine a mouse being more accurate. If you use your pc a lot (and I'm assuming most of us do), then splurge on a mouse. You won't regret it.
On the other hand, I've personally never seen the point of a wireless keyboard. Most people leave their keyboard stationary, so it really doesn't matter if it's wireless or not.

I love my wireless keyboard because when I have to type something out of a textbook and refer to my notes in my notebook, I can put my keyboard on my laptop and place my materials where the keyboard would normally be. Also, you can talk to people while lying down or doing something on the floor.

I don't know why people think the MX 1000 is "too heavy" for gaming. The lithium ion battery in that thing is light as all hell compared to the two AA rechargables in my MX 700!!! The MX 1000 is just as light as most corded mice.

I'm just going on what everyone else is saying. I've never actually used one myself. When I did have a wireless mouse, I remember knocking it off my desk accidentally. That can be very painful. With a corded mouse you don't really have that issue as much.

i also think that logitech is the way to go. i bought a cordless mx duo or something like that earlier this year. has the keyboard with the volume dial on the top and the pagescroll featrures, shortcuts, etc, different buttons. the cordless optical mouse is also great. better than the cheap corded optical mouse i had before. awesome. i bought my friend one of the lower end models and he's quite happy with it too. so, i think logitech is the way to go.
p.s. - a friend of mine that plays everquest for his second life advised to stay away from microsoft products. says they're crap compared to logitech.

How reliable is ZipZoomFly??? I have never heard of them before. This seems like a pretty solid deal, especially since it has FREE 2nd day shipping.

They are the same company as GoogleGear. 8.44 out of 10 Reseller Ratings (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1991.html). I bought my MX510 there and had no problems.
