I noticed when I went to Blockbuster last night that they marked down their used copies of Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne for PS2 and Xbox to $12.99 each. Pretty good deal considering EB and Gamestop are still selling them for $24.99 used. I also noticed that Starfox Adventures was $6.99. Even though all 4 stores in my area has them for the same price, I added the YMMV just in case.

I would so go and grab one, but just something about blockbuster that that makes me stop, I bet there probably scratched up like mad...hmm maybe I'll go check it out today..wonder if you can see the disc before buying

And if they are scratched up, return them for a new one... not too hard! And might as well do that for a decent deal on a good game.

I'm not sure when this starts but the deal is buy one get the next 50% off. A thread has already been made over that so you'll have to check it for the date.

You guys are lucky. My Blockbuster never has good deals on next gen games. Usually $19.99 will be the cheapest they go and it's usually greatest hits titles. However I did get a copy of Tactics Ogre for $9.99 disc only, but still a good deal.

Max Payne 2 is $34.99 used at my local Blockbuster. Their collection of used games is always pretty much empty.
Stay away from PS2 Max Payne 2 !!! There is a reason why it's only $12.99. You have been warned.

i just checked my blockbuster and they too had max payne 2 for 13 bucks for ps2. they didnt have it used for xbox tho.

I completely disagree. This game is worth every penny of 30 bucks, and had it been longer it would have been one of the few games that warents full price.

I can confirm the Greenwood, IN Blockbuster had a bunch for PS2, didn't see any for Xbox though.

My local blockbuster has tons of copies of MP2. Prices vary so it could have dropped and they never bothered to update the price.
I'll be getting the XBOX version since the ps2 version I bought just gives me nightmares.
I've played the Xbox version. Very short (7 hours maybe?), but for some reason that didn't really bother me. (Maybe because I was borrowing the game off a friend for free? :lol:)
I really enjoyed it.

pc is the way to go for this game. but the xbox version is the next best thing. I saw a ton of copies for $12.99 for xbox and ps2. i'll stick with my pc version though.

My Blockbuster had a ton of these for both systems, and strangely they had a lot of other Xbox games, disc only though, for $12.99. And they were good games: GTA3, KOTOR, Madden 2004, Splinter Cell 1, Rallisport 1, and others.

Picked up a copy of Max Payne 2 XB today. The disc was friggin scratchless, rare for Blockbuster games. Also got the case, insert, and instructions from behind the counter when I asked.

I went this morning and counted about 8 Ps2 copies of MP2 and 4 xbox copies going for 12.99 (blockbuster at hyperion, across from Gelsons), so I"ll go grab one tomorrow morning

Mine was in perfect condition too. Judging from the number of copies they ordered and the apparent utter lack of interest in the game, I'd be willing to bet that my copy wasn't even rented.

So was mine, it only had some dust on it, but the instruction booklet cover was a little out of shape(due to being crammed into one of Blockbuster's crappy DVD case). My copy was probably like that due to the store's strict policy to card for M rated games.
