Auctrion preference - higher price w/ free ship or regular price with ship cost?

So I put up an item for 59.99 with free priority ship. I get a few offers around the 45 range which I decline. It doesn't sell within a week.

I relist the item and it still doesnt sell, no offers this time.

So I relist again at 49.99 with $10 priority ship, and it sells within hours.

I usually have better luck when offering free shipping. What do you do with your auctions?

And the item will cost $7 to 9 to ship priority, I'm not gouging.

Most people are retarded and don't consider shipping with the cost of the actual item. I on the other hand just go for the cheapest option.
