Or will they deny and tell the freebie site what I'm doing?...It's basically can I sign up to the same offer more than once and get credit (more than once) without getting cought.

Well, by looking at the calendar, and considering today was a holiday, my best guess would put it at Thursday, give or take a day. If it's not approved by friday, I'd start to worry. Trust me, the approval process seems to take forever and is probably the most stressful part of the whole thing, not sure if all that work you did will pay off. I just submitted for approval yesterday for their Wii site, so I'm in the same boat.

While I don't have any hard facts, and I don't have the time to look it up, I can say this - I tried doing the stamps.com with firefox and it has yet to go through (i submitted a missing credit request through Trainn though, so it should be ok). I even used the program with the limited amount of money they throw in for free, thinking I actually had to print out a stamp to get it to work.

However, I referred my friend and he was credited instantly through IE. And then my girlfriend helped me out and was credited instantly as well with IE. They both didn't print out anything or use the program other than starting it up and signing in. Plus, I've had problem with referrals not going through before and I used firefox then. It doesn't seem like a coincidence to me, and would recommend that everyone use IE to complete any referral, just to be on the safe side. I did one just last night using IE and had no problem whatsoever (it was a blockbuster.com ref).

Wow really? I'm sorry to hear you had such a hard time with stamps.com - I've had no problems whatsoever. Once I wanted to cancel, I just called up the number on my cell, put it on speakerphone, and left the thing on the desk while I worked at my comp. About fifteen minutes later I got a rep who asked the following questions:

- How could he help me
- Account info (email, secret question answer, and username)
- Why I was canceling
- What I was going to be using instead of stamps.com (told him the actual post office)

Then he told me that since I called within the trial period, my account would not be charged, and told me that it may take up to 24 hours for the account to be canceled. He then gave me a cancellation number and said once the account was canceled, stamps.com would send a notice to my email (they did within the hour). I made sure to ask him if I would absolutely be charged nothing, and he said of course, and that was that.

It's easy if you have about an hour or so to spare in case of a long hold time.

I didn't even notice that. 6 refs gets you either a console and a game for the silver package, or a console, a game, and an extra controller for the gold package. They probably meant to put the gold up for 7 refs and the platinum for 8 and forgot or something.

A little harsh, don't you think? Everybody has different experiences, it all depends on a lot of factors. Stamps.com was easy to deal with for me, but I understand that it could be tougher on someone else. So try not to call people retards just because they couldn't get credit.

Interesting... I was just looking through old posts and read that a little closer. When I signed up at the site, the gold and platinum were both 7 refs. The gold is system, 1 game, 1 extra controller. The platinum is system, 2 games, 1 extra controller. Now it looks like they've reduced the ref requirement on gold(apparently before you looked at it)... but that means they've got a package better than silver for the same amount rather than a package better than gold for the same amount.

Kinda weird, but that at least makes me feel a little more confident about the possibility of getting an extra controller. Which is a nice bonus since I was content getting 7 refs for the system and 2 games. I'm also kind of curious if the extra controller with have the nunchuck too. The picture of the gold package suggests it would, but that was there before we knew they were packaged separately.

Also worth mentioning in here in case anyone is interested:
My last ref on gaming.free4me.net went green, so I submitted and got approved rather quickly for shipping. Did all that just before leaving for my friend's apartment for the weekend. Now it seems free4me is down, and lost a lot of data. So, I guess my ds lite didn't get shipped today like it should have. They say all the creditting info should still be there, they just don't have info on accounts that signed up in October. They also said that if you tell them who you were referred under, and what offer you completed, they should be able to get things back in order. Since I'm at my friend's house I can't even look at the site or anything. I'll post an update tomorrow evening once I'm home and have had a chance to check stuff out. I don't remember when I started getting refs for this site, hopefully it won't be too hard to get in contact all three of them if needed.
