Why doesn't everyone who got scammed by him PM a mod about it, and be sure to save your PMs with him for proof? No mod visits this thread unless beckoned upon.

OK guys, n00b here, please bear with me.
I started to do a free ps2 on everyfreegift.com, did 2 offers (not sure how many you need though) and 3rd was a credit card. I forgot to bookmark and I closed so now I'm screwed out of that.
I now did a Blockbuster $50 gift card (only needed to to 1 offer), it says it's in progress, but I don't know when to cancel my offer (it was video professor). Do I cancel when I recieve the package or what?
Lastly, what is the easiest free thing to get that is actually worth it? I just hate signing up for things to come in the mail, etc, I'd rather just pay a bit for something. I want to avoid signing up for credit cards at all costs
I'm new to this and I actually hate doing it all, so confusing, but jeez free stuff!

In other business, I just completed Giftcard.freeforme.net. Now what? How do you get them to send you your money/gift?

...are you sure you finished Giftcard? That one takes quite a bit of offers (various numbers on each page) before you finish.

Has anyone doe getrewardz.com?
It's only "1 referral" for $60 paypal.
But they seperate it into "one credit offers" and "half credit offers" .... so would two "half-credit offers" equal 1 referral?

They will usually tell you how many credits you need somewhere on the site. Typcially, you would have to receive the product before you cancel. It depends on the offer. Always read the disclaimer before you sign up for any offer. If you have a credit or debit card I would suggest signing up for free trials. They will usually give you a certain amount of time to cancel before you are charged. The ones that come in the mail will cost you shipping and handling.

Anybody know easy ways to get the PS2? Mainly just looking for fastest shipping

I'm looking to get my final ref for gaming.free4me.net. If anyone hasn't signed up for that site yet, I'm able to pay $20 PayPal or trade refs. I've signed up for all the iPod sites, but can still sign up for a large number of sites.

I have a quick question regarding freebidding.com. I did the 1 day trial for $1, and I'm wondering, is that one calendar day, i.e. it ends at midnight, or is it 24 hours, and will end tomorrow afternoon at the same time of day I signed up for it originally? Also, if I cancel it before I go green, will it not go green? I did everything I was required to, so I should still get credit.

I believe it is 24 hours from the time that you initiate the trial.
Yes, you should be able to get credit for the offer, if they question you or if you do not get credit, submit a no-credit report with the confirmation e-mail if you have one. I've gotten credit for two offers after I had cancelled with them months ago.

I am looking to trade refs for 3604free. I currently have 4 greens, and 4 yellows. 2 of them are most likely never going to go green(cris_ronaldo), and the other 2 should be going green soon (at least they better be). So that means I need at least 2 more greens. No OOD's, unless you want to do a 2 for 1 trade. I would like to sign up for yourfree360games.com if anyone needs that, but I can do a lot of others if needed. The sites I cannot do are:
3604free.com
gaming.free4me.net
macs.free4me.net
yourfreevideoipods.com
psps4free.com
yourps34free.com
flashipods4free.com
ordercash4free.com
games.123stuffforfree.com
ipods.freepay.com
After I complete my 3604free site, I will probably be looking for trades for some of the other sites listed, in order of importance.

How fast do points credit and how fast do they ship out after you order?
Points based. An ipod is 140 points. $500 is 500 points.
http://www.simplyfreerewards.com/?r=174
SO theoretically you could just do 5 Tickle offers yourself and get an iPod for $25? Or is there a limit of some sort?

Tickle is beginning to stop crediting for multiple sites, even if done a week apart. the 123stuffforfree.com rep on A4F mentioned that Tickle won't credit you on their site, if you have done ANY tickle test and ANY point in time. Looks like the beginning of the end of a worthwhile offer. Please take note so you don't get DQ'd.

I think once I finish out my gaming.freeforme.net site, I am just going for Do it yourself sites for a while. At least the one I posted earlier. This is a sellers market. We are all trying to get people to give us referrals and the like, and there are no real people to actually buy.
I started doing this a couple weeks ago. It was something fun to do when I was online. I now find it to be frustrating, as no one seems to want to help anyone else. Isn't that the point? Isn't it supposed to be about a group of us getting together to help each other beat the system.
"Joe Blow got a high definition televsion for less than $150, and I got $400 paypal for $5 and a few referrals."
Instead it's: "John will pay me $35 for a referral. What will you pay me?"
Grrrrrrrrr.... $35 x 7 referrals= $245
7 Referrals = Nintendo Wii
$245? I could have just bought a Nintendo Wii! Without all of the fuss, haggling, and negotiating.
I think that is why I am going to take a break from the back biting and hit the DIY'rs. At least with that I control my own destiny. I don't have to wait on scammer of the week deciding to go straight.

It's probably the beginning of the end of all this anyway. I think the companies are starting to catch on. Every DIY site that i tried to do earlier ended up raising their requirements, which meant that if you were not locked in earlier, you could not get the same deal that the early adoptors received.
That is why I posted this on here. While I am not happy with the amount of PURE GREED I am encountering on other sites, I am indebted to the CAGers, as they are the ones that helped me get started. I think anyone that is interested in getting a certain gift or a combination of gifts (accepted on this site), should sign up, and not look back.

I just started and I'm afraid I'm going to get in over my head. I'm almost done with my 3604free, and I'm going to work on gaming.free4me.net, and I might just settle for a dslite on that because it's only 3 referrals. I'd like to do my macs.free4me, but 11 referrals could get expensive. After that, I might just quit.

Any other good offers that give you free trials, don't send you shit (which you need to return) and can cancel online?
stamps.com seems to be a popular one, and the toppik hair stuff is only $5, but you don't need to cancel it.
Anymore, the most viable options are services that people actually use: Blockbuster, Netflix, Gamefly, and things of the sort.

I was sending a PM to everyone telling them about the site I posted yesterday, but someone complained that it was SPAMISH, so I am just going to post it in the open.
Yesterday, I posted a referraless site for public consumption. I had not yet completed any offers for it, but it seemed promising. Today, I completed a couple offers (all free surveys), and added up the points one can make from FREE Surveys. Surveys come up to about 112.5 points. One point is basically equal to $1. A tickle site is 30 points. Cash payouts are:
$50
$150
$500
To me, it seems like an easy way to at least make $50. If you add a couple referrals or an offer, it could be an easy Nintendo DS (130), 1 GB Memory Stick Duo (50), or a White iPod Nano (140)
Referrals are not needed, but you do get 5-10% of each referral. Which means instead of begging, "Please sign up for this offer, I will give you $20," You say, "Sign up under me if you wish, get $50 free money for surveys."
If you want to kick them over a couple dollars cool. Bottomline is that you can COMPLETE this site without overpaying someone to sign up.
Here's the link:
http://www.simplyfreerewards.com/?r=174
If you want to sign up under me cool. Thanks! If not, at least take my referral number off and check it out.

I signed up for that simplyfreerewards a few days ago, and I thought that it would be really easy too just doing surveys. But, then I got a couple asking for my SSN, and bank account numbers, so I thought, screw this, these people don't need to know this. I'm not sure it's worth it now, I might just stop and try a different site for a DS lite.

What can you do when one of your referrals goes red? For some reason one of mine has been placed on hold.
Does that mean that the person that did the referral got caught trying to cheat?
Finally, is there any way to resolve this and get back my credit?

That means that your referral got DQed for doing something against the TOS of the freebie site, frauding offers is a very common issue as well as signing up with multiple accounts while trying to hide behind a proxy.
Your best bet is to message that person, and hope to get your money back. But if that person goes out of contact, you're basically out of luck and a green.
Only under very rare circumstances can a red turn back into a green and it depends on the freebie site. i.e. in FreePay, you're basically fucked due to their shitty CS but under Trainn or Free4Me, if they look into the situation and see that referral as legit, they will revert them back to green status.

YES! I got 3 greens for Gaming.Free4me.net yesterday and requested approval for a DS Lite, I checked the status this morning and it's been shipped via UPS. I would like to give a thank-you to everyone here at CAG who helped make this possible. I was going to go for a bigger item, but settled for a DS Lite after seeing how hard it was to get refs. I also want to get the Wii and PS3 at launch, so I'm happy with my decision. I think I'm going to go after one more site and then end this whole "free item" thing. It's hard to find refs, and in the end probably isn't worth the time, effort, and aggrivation. But at least now I'll have something physical to make this work worth it.

It should take you to the Choose your gift screen. After that all you have to do is sign up for an offer. The tickle sites are my favorite. They can be as low as $4.95. A bit of warning though, if you have already done a tickle on any site, I would not do another one. I had a referral go red on my yesterday, and I think it was multiple tickles that caused it.

I don't know why it would say your card is invalid. But if you use your old account, you have to make sure your old trial is cancelled, otherwise they charge you $20 a month. It gives you a week, so you can't do another one until day 8. For example, my account doesn't expire until the 25th, so I'm not going to be able to do the next test until the 26th.

....yes you can.
When you create a Tickle account, you use that exact same account for purchasing the tests, you're just going from unsubscribed to the Premium Membership in between tests. After the 7th day, they should have your credit card on file so that the only thing you need to press are "Buy the results."

What we ought to do is compile a database of information into one post, and ask Cheapy to close this thread and start a new one. Basically, all but the most detailed information should be able to be answered by "go read the OP."

Lynsanity is a softhearted sap that will take a chance on anyone. He has 2 transactions with people that will probably not complete offers, and one transaction that completely fell apart when she decided she wanted to get something for nothing.
I don't know if I would trust Lynsanity's judgement. At least not this week. He has been making very rash decisions, and has not posted on the forum in quite some time. What's more, I think Lynsanity is a bit stupid despite his supposed 147 IQ.

I believe this thread needs to be reset as well. Anything useful can be kept, everything else needs to go. That being said, I think this may be one of the least visited threads in this forum. We need better visibility.
On a personal note, does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the final two gaming referrals? I am having a majorly hard time getting anyone to even think about trading one. The people that have them hold on to them like precious metal.

I want to transcend placement and be on the front page. That, or a magic referral granted button placed within the regular thread. It's either or. They are both pretty equal in my mind.
Got my DS Lite today from Free4me. In the end, I only had to pay $4.99 for a Tickle offer and $9.99 for Blockbuster, the other offers were free. Here's a pic:

Regarding an earlier post about a Tickle offer saying your credit card is not valid, you're not alone, I had the same thing happen to me. Maybe they're starting to make it so you can only do one? I don't know, but I think I'll stray away from Tickle for a bit until this is figured out.

Congrats on that DS, what vendor was it sent from and where are you located? I didn't get my MacBook Pro today and I'm trying to predict when I'll get it, hopefully by tomorrow or Friday.
EDIT:
We should have something like ReferralSwapper where they have cash advertisements such as "$xx for xxx signups" with our name/profile next to it on the homepage or something. Just something to lure potential referrals to you and to get your cash offer out there.
Congrats THPS!

It was shipped from PC Mall, and I am located in New Jersey. You should probably be receiving your MacBook Pro tomorrow, the DS was shipped the same day as your MacBook. Enjoy the MacBook, completing that site is near impossible, congrats on a job well done. Your suggestion about the advertisements similar to those on RS is a great idea, it will attract more attention than this thread would.
I'm looking to start a free laptop site, anyone have any suggestions as to which site is most reliable and fastest with their shipping? And if anyone has a link and wants to do a ref trade for a laptop site, I'm more than willing to do so.

The test is tied to your account and you can log-in to view it at any time. I think it is also email to you, but it isn't mailed to your house or anything like that. You CAN cancel right after, but leave it alone for a few days to be safe. You don't want to cancel RIGHT after because if too many people do that, Tickle might end up taking away their offers. It's not really likely, but you never know.

You can always just do any Free4Me site that has a prize at 3 referrals and get $130 PayPal instead, but you'd have to shell out more money to cover for the tax depending on your area ($129.99 + tax).

You only have to buy the results for the test you took in order to get credit, but Tickle throws in a free week of their membership which will auto renew after 7 days and charge you. You can cancel that immediately after buying your results as it is not a part of the requirements for credit, it's just something they try to get you with hoping you aren't paying close enough attention to your account to cancel it.

to any and all CAG veterans,
I am new to the whole referral concept, and was wondering if someone would be so kind as to point me in the right direction. I have been looking through this thread for awhile now, and am wondering a few things:
1. how exactly does a conga line work? I am under the assumption that, as a new joiner to a conga line, you use the #1 person's referral link, thus giving them another referral, and adding your name to the line. Is this correct?
2. What would be my best course of action (read: cheapest; I don't mind doing endless polls or that stuff, I just don't have a lot of money to spend) for me if I want to get an Xbox 360 through referrals? Please include any sites you would recommend.
3. How much money does completion of a referral for, say an XBOX 360, cost?
Thanks for reading, and any insight you could provide me would be greatly appriciated.

Advertisers pay to get new people. Tickle doesn't pay out $40+ just so someone pays them $4.95. They can revoke your credit but usually they don't. I normally wait about 2-3 days before cancelling a Tickle offer

Depends on the offer you do. True.com is free, stamps.com is free, and some others are free. Check out www.ratetheoffers.com (there may perhaps be a better, or more recent, database available). There should be information on the overall average cost of the offer, time to green, difficulty in cancelling, and whether or not there are any implicit contracts/extra purchases demanded of you. If the offer you want to do isn't in there, post it here and some of us may have info.

Probably...I just checked where PC Mall is located (Not sure if your Mac Book is coming from there or not, but it is possible), and they're located in TN which is closer to me (NJ), so that could explain a delay in the shipment. UPS is weird sometimes too. A few weeks ago I had a package I was expecting on Friday. The tracking number said it was out for delivery and all so I thought I was safe. I was home when the UPS truck came by, and they went right past my house. I checked the tracking later the day and the delivery was rescheduled to the following Monday. The package was a business item which I needed for that Saturday, so I was screwed. The sad part is that it spent a few days at the local UPS shipping facility (or whatever it is called, big UPS building where tons of trucks come out of daily :) ), and this building is pretty much within walking distance of my house. They have no problem getting my package from across the country to this building, but yet they cannot bring it a few feet to my house. Strange.... Sorry for the long rant, but long story short, UPS is probably just being it's normal odd self...if you don't receive it tomorrow you can also probably get the tracking number from Peter if you don't already have it (I never got mine for some reason).

Thanks, I just did a little calculation on UPS.com and for Ground, it said it would be here on Friday.
I'm sort of glad I'll get it tomorrow because I had nobody home today to sign for it, but my relatives will tomorrow.
Also, Free4Me doesn't have tracking numbers for their items.

For those of you who have done the true.com offer:
How was your cancelling experience? The muzak while on hold stutters and is so fucking annoying I can't help but think it's intentionally that way. I'm still on hold, the coffee maker is far enough away to be a nuisance, and this music/talking makes me want to punch someone in the fucking face. A lot.

For me, i had my phone on loudspeaker.
So i was just listening for someone to answer the phone.
To cancel was pretty easy - unlike horrible AOL.
Just be a little more patient. :D

I think I was on there 10-15 mins as well. I ended up having to call 3 times. 1 because there was a problem with my card. One to cancel, and one to have them resend me the confirmation info. I don't think I ever got credit for the site either.

I had to wait 15 minutes for True.com because when my first call went through after 10 minutes of waiting, the hung up on me. I was like....uh....:censored:. I called them back and I only had to wait 5 minutes. After that it was really simple to cancel for me too, no hassle at all and the person who answered the phone was really nice. It was the easiest cancellation by phone I have ever done. As for the music, I punched myself in the ear so I didn't have to hear it anymore.

My true.com cancelling experience was pretty easy, I don't remember how long I was on hold, but I don't think it was very long at all. And the lady I talked with might have offered me a lower price and that was all, after that she just cancelled it.

It came in a HUGE ASS but beat-the-fuck-up box though. The damn thing was like 5x the size of the actual box the laptop was in surrounded by a lot of air packet bags.
Contrary to the many opinions about the heat, it does not run that hot. I wear fairly thin jeans and I can feel a little warmth, but nothing that will ruin your testicles.

How small and portable is it? I'm thinking of getting one for my mom because she doesn't have a computer, so it would be easy for her to carry around and do her business/work.

I don't know of the exact dimensions, check the Apple page for the tech specs. I am for sure that it is exactly 1 inch thin tough. It weighs my guess to be 4.5-5lbs. The screen display is nice and large with 15.4 inches and widescreen.
I would recommend the regular MacBooks for your mother, the smaller form factor (it's still thin though) and almost half the cost of the MacBook Pro would suit her well.

It was by far the hardest freebie site I've ever done, it makes all those 1-credit for 1 referral iPods look like chump change. I got scammed 2-3 times over it for a big loss (I paid a lot for those referrals).
WWDC is happening next week and the new Core 2 Duo chips might be coming out in the new MacBooks, so the performance increase would be well worth it.
I started the site back in May, so it took me around 2 months to actually complete the site.
If you don't need the bigger screen and the graphics chip, I would go for the regular MacBooks. You can get the 11 referrals and instead of getting the MacBook Pro, you can get $1900 PayPal and then buy one of the regular MacBooks and have a nice chunk of change in your pocket leftover for your other needs.

How did you get scammed? Did you pay first?
EDIT: Grats, of course. How much, in the end, did you spend on referrals (trades and ref-for-ref trades) to get the macbook? I'm thinking of doing it, but considering the time investment, I may hold out and buy an imac instead).

I was forced to go first since I had a low TR rating. The other one was caused by a DQ a couple of days after payment. Fortunately, someone on FiPG saw that I was scammed and did a referral for me for free.
For all my referrals, I paid PayPal for the referral, no ref-for-ref trades. Overall, I spent around $700 where it should have been ~$500-600 if it wasn't for the scammers. CAG played a large part in it as I got 5 out of the total 11 referrals needed just from this thread.

Receipts aren't usually included with the free items. I myself have gotten over $500 via paypal.. as cash is always the best option. If you do go the cash route you can buy yourself the graphic novel because I have never seen it offered.

Is there a site that you can complete for a regular MacBook?
Other than OfferCentric's Notebooks which are notorious for their OODs that nobody will do unless you offer them a lot of cash, it's either Macs.free4me or the DIY scene. I saw another person recently got a regular MacBook for 18 offers DIY, so go that route if you can manage doing all those offers.
OfferCentric:
http://www.notebooks4free.com/
It goes from the 2.0Ghz White, 2.0Ghz Black and 2.0Ghz MacBook Pro, and I believe the bottom one is 18 referrals.
But for Macs, I would just get the 11 referrals, $1900 PayPal and get the base MacBook models (even better w/ student discount) for your mother, then you can have ~$800 for your trouble.
