Game stores not giving us our free xbox live trials

What are some storys about this I hear when u buy a game from any trade place they dont give you the trials that are included in the game..what do they do with them give them to the employees?

To me it seems like it would be very illegal for them to take the cards out should microsoft step in?

So wait, you're complaining about not getting a Live card on a USED product? You are lucky to even get an instruction book in most cases.

How exactly do you expect microsoft to step in? What exactly would they do? You are buying a USED game. Once the game is resold it's not anyone's problem but your own.

I can't say that I've ever had that happen to me. I'm guessing it might happen sometimes with the display copies at EB and Gamestop, but it doesn't seem like it would be that hard to just refuse to buy the open copy of the game if the trial is missing.

My stores don't remove them.. from the display, anyway. As for used copies, they probably didn't come with the trial to begin with, the person trading them in probably kept it. I myself have 27 2 month trials, but they're all expired.

And if you haven't noticed, Microsoft stopped including them in games a while back. I haven't seen any in games since Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike.. not in Far Cry, not in Burnout, not in X-Men Legends 2, not in Lockdown.. they stopped giving them out.

Gamecrazy opens pretty much all of their games so you can "try them before you buy them" I wouldn't be surprised if employees (especially in my area) snag the trial cards, I never buy games there based on the fact that everything is opened so I'm not sure if they do.

I didnt mean used games I just meant trade places that dealt with used games along with there new ones not retailers like bestbuy or circuit city but gamestores.

Check out this list all of these games are suposed to include a free trial I have gotten brand new copies of 3 of these games from gamerush and gamestop and no free trials I didnt even find out till way after my purchase.

I say good riddance to the xbox live free trials. They are being abused by cheaters, modders and those who never intend on paying for the service, for a large part. Many are using these free trial accounts to cheat, mod or even just verbally abuse other members with; when one account is eventually banned or expires they just use another trial account. Also if Microsoft is ending the promotion it obviously isn't increasing membership enough compared to the cost.

Well, GameRush doesn't open up their new copies, so maybe those games just didn't come with free trials to begin with. It's certainly nothing that GameRush is doing.
