Well, there are programs like Virex, but it's pretty hard to get a virus on a Mac.

Edit: it looks like Apple actually dropped support for Virex earlier this summer, so I just wouldn't worry about it at this point. The main way to get a virus on a Mac is to have a macro run in Office, so just turn off the autorun on macros in Office and don't open weird attachments in your email.

It most likelly you got old virus from early mac's (when the IBM PC was the Virus free PC )

There are so few macs, and they are such a pain in the ass to program for that few if any people bother to make viruses for them.

psh, macs arent good enough to have viruses, all they are good for is a/v editing.

I have an old norton program for mac, if that helps, I'd have to double check if it detects viruses

EDIT: BTW, which OS are you running.

EDIT #2: If you search ebay, you'll find some cheap Norton Antivirus software for Mac

They are actually perfectly good computers for what the majority of people use computers for: surfing the web, checking email, listening to music, working with office style documents, looking at photos, etc...
