why would you release a system the same week that Metroid Prime 2 and Halo 2 are going to come out?
I am interested in the system, but no way in hell I am buying it now (its gonna fade away fast)

im still banking on it never seeing the light of day, they are just stealing investors money, like the CEO or whatever position he holds has done about 10 times before.

Don't forget that you get a free Phantom console when you sign up for two years of their online service. At just $29.95 per month (times 24 months), it's only going to cost you $718.80 for your free Phantom game receiver.

Wow I wish I could go to E3 just to see the Phantom in action. I guess ithey're having a snow day in Hell if that's the case.
I bet CAGbot is hot for that sleek new-age design.

i guess they wanted to make nokia look good, and the only way to do that is release a system almost no one is really that interested in at a time when nobody will be talking about it.

I think it's a good move by Infinium Labs to unveil it at E3, but in order to create a buzz, they need to also show some of their exclusive games they've been touting.

And in other news CEO of Infinium Labs Inc. has been charged with investment fraud ..................
How long has this system been trying to be released? Like really the specs when it was first concieved to now are almost old, i can see a rework in the schematics. With alot of people owning PCs and using " trial" software who is really gonna pay 29.95 a month? Instant collectors item ! It wil pull a n-gage, with a press release a month down the road" we sold millions" only to come back with " it didnt sell as we expected:( ?"
Apex and alienware is far more serious with there version of the DISc technology.

There's only one way I can see this succeeding: They've got to get a MAJOR exclusive title...if, for example, they could get Half-Life 2 or Doom 3, then they'd be set. Right now, though, they don't have any A-List titles...so they're screwed.

i cant see full version exclusives, but i can for sure see demo version exclusives. Like really if you only had the phantom to play half life 2 or doom 3 demos for abit before release, some people would buy a phantom for that alone.
Also i think they are mis-judging the market, if xbox live can only get 750,000 subscibers so far, i can only imagine what the user base would be on a broadband dependent system. Also take into account that if you have a broadband connection , pretty dam good chance you also have a PC to play games also
Hoax? Probaly not , we will get a box that does play something, but honestly i think they are just wasting investors money.People do get rich when a company goes tits up, and most of the time it the CEO.

Well, they were talking about selling lifetime subscriptions for like $200. I guess that's out the window now, though.
Also, does anyone know if the Phantom will be running on its own format, or will it all be PC-based? If that's the case, then we'll never see any exclusives for the system.
