Mafia for PS2, to warn you all, is getting horrible reviews.
As I predicted, that b/c of the PS2's hardware and architecture, it' would suffer (just like Max Payne 1 and 2 did). And, well IGN and G-Spot have whine about how much the game has been cut down in comparison to its PC's counterpart in every aspect you can think of: poor framerates, cut-down graphic quality, city is not hustling and bustling like the PC version, etc etc.
I have the PC version -- and quite frankly, it's very good. If you got a decent PC, Mafia for PC is the way to go; WalMart has it for $10 in a JC. And you won't regret it, either.
I wonder how XB version of Mafia will turn out -- can't be any worse than the PS2 counterpart.

Pirates of Carribean, Lilo & Sitch, Yu-Yu-Yakusho - $16.88
I wonder if any of these will end up creating Raincheck possibilities? Yu-Yu-Hakusho and Lilo and Stitch seem like likely candidates (hopefully they are 30 dollar games and not 20.)

EBGAMES.com is still giving $25 trade in for a used counterstrike. The worst thing that happens is you buy it for 38 don't like it and send it into Eb for credit. Not much of a difference from rental price that way.

Say what you want, but I'm actually thinking of getting the Lilo and Stitch game.
Any game that's smart enough to take after Metal Slug is worth my money...

I was at target today and checked on this thinking the same as you. Pirates and Lilo are both $20, but Yu-Yu was $30, so that would be about 43% off. Not outstanding, but not bad.

Would you be able to use the GGC since that would take your total below $19.99? Or do a lot of BB cashiers not really care about that fine print?

I could be wrong, but I think he was referring to Counter-Strike and not the GBA games...

$40 for Counter-Strike is far from cheap. I got mine for free, and even then, I barely consider it much of a deal.
Personally, I wouldn't have paid even $15 for CS. Trust me; you're better off without it. It's not one of Xbox Live's finest. It's bottom-rung, as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah but will they only give you that 43% on GBA games? Do you have to get lucky and get a clerk who will let you use it on a PS2 or Xbox game?
