When, if ever, will I be able to get this game legally for my Gameboy Advance? Is there a chance in Hades it will ever happen? I did a quick search, and it seems Data East is defunct.

Also, Ring King is 20 (!) this year.

It was one of my favorite games by far back when my friends and I used to smoke and play video games at the arcade. Man, times have changed.

I loved that game. The best part was knocking your opponent out of the ring.

I saw your sig earlier and I was wondering if there was another ring king because it doesn't look like the NES version, so I'm guessing that its the arcade one.

Data East is dead? I wonder who got the rights to their games? Fighters History, Karnov, Ring King....Kid Niki etc.

Bad Dudes versus Dragonninja was pretty good, too.

I'd also like to know who owns their IP.

I had heard that Konami was in talks to buy their IP's back in late 2003 early 2004. Not sure if it was verfied or not. After Google'ing it, not much was shown.

I'll always remember getting Ring King a few years ago, playing it for the first time, and laughing for at least ten minutes at this:
