Why would you want anyone to leave the console biz? More competition means lower prices. Everybody wins!

I'm more interested in the DS than the PSP... I'll be interested in the PSP next year... when it actually even worthwhile to think about it.

What are you smoking? Lower Prices? Bullshit. This generation of consoles have been holding on to their "non-mass market" prices for WAY longer than any of their predecessors. $180 for a console?!?! $50 for a new release title?!?!? At this stage in the game last round, things were not so pricey.

I plan on getting one for Christmas if the price is halfway decent.

The DS? From what I'd seen about the PSP, it's release was pushed back until next year so that they can handle the Japanese launch correctly Q4 this year.

1)I'm hoping to see more plans for the eye toy
2)Ditto above but for the PS2 HDD
3)Some hype on games that don't have a number, a roman numeral, or any other sequel or subtitle in their name.
4) I'm hoping to NOT hear anything about Halo 2, Halflife 2, or Doom III because we've heard enough hype about them for the last 24 months and I could give a crap anymore. Just put the games out already and stop wasting your advertising budgets on them --they will sell regardless.

What generation are you thinking of where new titles weren't $50?
I remember looking at a $90 price tag for Phantasy Star 2 on the Genesis at Toys R Us.
The price for a new console is taking a bit long to drop. I know that the Saturn and PlayStation stayed up at around $200 for at least 3 years.

Games have always started out at the $50 price point. What I am refering to is the eventual drop in price for new release titles.
