i've never played the game, but it received an 82% from gamerankings.com. (http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/917884.asp?q=nfl%20street) that's pretty good considering they average out all the reviews.
i'm also thinking about buying it

Id say get it if you only own the gamecube cause the ps2 has online play and xbox has better graphics. imho the gcn controller isn't good for football.

ign said street is best played on the cube controller over all other so score one for cube!!!
anyways its a great game and i dont think it has any other match on cube. for sim play go 2k3 for arcade go street

Street is wack. wait till Madden 2005 comes out. I have played it twice. brought it so I could play my nephew when he moved away. he doesn't play it either. But everybody still plays Madden!!

I play NCAA 2004 like mad and didn't care for NFL Street. Seemed like player's skill didn't always matter (maybe it was me, but my 10 year old was beating people online and he's never even played Madden!). COMPLETE opposite of a sim.
Granted, I only rented it for a weekend. Only played online, too. Didn't try the single player.

Buy it for multiplayer. My friend and I loved the multiplayer! Single player doesn't take very long, though. Also, why not just pick it up for $20? If u don't like it, or beat it in a week or two, u can trade it in to get close to the same amont at gamestop/gamecrazy/ eb games. Just my 2 cents.

ignorant ^
but i have street and its a fun game. cant go wrong for $20. there are alot of different (most hard) challenges to beat. there is also the ladder mode, where you have to beat other nfl teams. its fun to make people like you and your friends and then add nfl players to the team or just make up fake guys. id say get it if you want some football. its a fun game, and the multiplayer rocks!

lol why am i ignorant. im only speaking the truth and its a honest suggestion to a fellow cag. anywayz maybe unfair comparing 2k3 to a game that hasnt even come out but unless madden starts shaping up then my pick still the best one for cube

Agreed. It's a lot more fun playing with other people. The single player mode got real old, real quick to me. But it's definitely worth $20.

single player was fun the first few matches, until you learned everything, and got tired of showing off the same old cool moves to yourself....than it just got extremely repetitive....but the multiplayer is great....
I played a bit of Street, and didn't really care for it.
I was very dissapointed they didn't have any sort of mode like the 'Be A Legend' mode in NBA Street 2. Basically the only mode they have is the equivalent of the NBA Challenge mode (or whatever it is called) in NBA Street. Seemed very very light on the game modes for an EA sports offering.
In NBA Street 2, I played all the way through Be A Legend and have played maybe two games in the NBA challenge mode, so it was pretty easy for me to decide to pass on NFL Street.
I'm sure they'll flesh it out for NFL Street Vol. 2...
