I'm sure someone is going to say it... you should really post a thumbnail using imageshack. You can even load images right from other sites - it's easy and it saves the 56k people a little trouble...

I'm not really sure how the secret character has to do with DOA as a game, I think you were just looking for any excuse to bash the series, but whatever.

Well for anyone who read the novels there was a female Spartan, actually a few females, but one imparticular that you never really figured out what happened to her after she went "missing". Apparently she somehow landed in the DoA universe...

First of all i Love the DOA series. so it may not seem to be too much of a surprise that i think this is kinda cool... no lie, i first looked at it and was all like, "cool... i always said master chief was a ninja..." sure it's not exactly the Master Chief but you know it's almost the same. and as long as we don't sacrifice gameplay then i have no complaints.

This isn't that bad. I think Cortana would of been better but Spartan XX isn't that bad. Reminds me of when I first saw Gun Jack, the Kangaroo, Panda, and tree thing in Tekken. I thought all those characters were out of place but eventually grew on me.

I'll say it... I'm a Halo whore and I was going to pass over DOA4 because it didn't seem much different than Ultimate or DOA3. Now that Master Chieftess is in the game, though, Microsoft and Tecmo just ripped another $60 out of my wallet on launch day. I'm now interested to see if this female Spartan will make her way into Xtreme Beach Volleyball 2.

I am not a big fan of the doa games, and although the addition of this character is kind of cool, it also seems out of place and almost forced. Aforementioned, I also feel like this character will draw in people to play the game that have no interest in taking it seriously, but rather, think that it is "cool" to play as a spartan.

Anyway, this cross-over thing is a great idea. I was hoping for Cortana, but I have no problem with the female spartan. What bugs me are all the people bitching about how out of place it is. Yeah, it's out of place, but it's just a stupid easter egg. I didn't see these people attacking Soul Calibur 2 when Link, Heihachi, and Spawn were system specific characters.

Yeah people give DOA way too much crap. Tekken is the series I hate, though. DOA is about middle of the road, with Soul Calibur and Virtua Fighter at the top.. for 3d fighters anyway.
The fighting styles are kind of out of place, but melee attacks are a huge part of Halo multiplayer matches.. lol

This game could be the shittiest fighter I've ever played, but the playable Spartan would make it enjoyable for me.

no way, it's my job to MAKE people like DoA. It's not that they hate it, it's that they just haven't becomed enlightened about the things that make it awesome. ;-) /sarcasm
I'll admit, I have my prejudices aimed at Halo-trash(not all Halo players, but the dickshits that need no introduction--the cursing, screaming, lag-switching, "kill count compensates for my tiny member" types) but I'm all for more characters in the game. 4 new guys wasn't quite enough, but 5 is just right (that's 5, if the new boss is playable.)
as long as she doesn't throw off the balance of the engine.
