Hell yes, the wizard made me want a Power Glove. And this movie came out before SMB3 came out if I remember correctly.

I saw it when I was a kid around the time it came out. Nothing special, except that was the first time I had seen Mario 3 anywhere. Needless to say, I wanted the game badly after that and was very happy when I got it for my next birthday.

The movie was pretty much an ad for Nintendo.

The only reason this game was even really watched was to see SMB3.. it's really a horrible movie :)

The Wizard was a great Black Sabbath song.

What?

It made me too want a power glove. I thought the thing was going to revolutionize gaming. Remember the commercial with the dude playing Punch Out! and he's actually punching? Well, that shite is totally fake because all I could do is make my characters make retarded movements and it gave me serious arm cramps.

Man, as a kid this movie was the best. There was a little quiet kid who was "the wizard" of video games and feaking rocked at them. The tournament scene was cool. I also rememeber the Power Glove being my favorite part of the movie though i never got a chance to try it myself.

Why not is the real question. One of the finest gaming movies of the late 80s.

I would say the coolest gaming movie was Brainscan.
