Coon Rapids has a location as well near where the Shinders used to be by Northtown. They have a TON of older games there. Like NES stuff.

Not to mention eBay prices too. I've stopped going to the now named Media Xchange since a good chunk of their prices are not far off from what the same product sells for new at BBY/CC/etc.

Burnsville Best Buy had a couple copies of MotoGP '07 for the 360 for $10. I didn't bite, not a huge racing game fan, especially with motorcycles. Also, if you're even the slightest bit interested in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), Pride Bushido 9 was on sale there for $4.99. That's a must have a $4.99, one of the best events in the history of MMA in my opinion. And its a two-disc set, that's about 4 hours of great MMA action. Sorry for the off-topic rant but that's a great, great deal.

Not an incredible deal or anything but the Apple Valley Best Buy has wired 360 Guitar Hero 2 controllers for $20. They work with Guitar Hero 3 also.

Since everyone's been talking about my side of town I thought I'd mention, drive south on central to 40th. Star bar is there but right next door is a place called discount 70. Pretty much a thrift store but mostly target or other retailer items. Most stuff is open box or sealed. They have some games and quite a few gh bundles as well as some rock band. If willing to chance it they have 360 wireless controllers for like 15 bucks. they are by the checkout counter. Also the video games are in a case locked up. Most are so so deals. They ussually are an additional 20% off marked price. Had a new halo3 for like 25 a couple weeks ago. There are some finds there but don't get your hopes up. I grabbed rsv2 for 360 for 17 bucks 2 weeks ago.

can't remember for sure but anywhere from 80 and up it just depends. Very hit and miss and depends on 360 or ps3. Personally I wouldn't buy one there unless at the 80 ish price.

Universe Games is more a table top game store. They have board games and CCGs. Not too bad a store if you like those things. They do have PCs for LAN parties and such but I don't remember seeing any video games for sale when I was there a few months ago.

anyone looking for a gamecube component cable the savage gamestop shows 1 in the inventory tracker. If you go to pick it up you will probably have to ask. Most likely they will say they don't have it. Make them check inventory on the computer. I've picked up several and all stores said they didn't have them, when they actually did. 4.99 used. They go for a good price on ebay. I sold 2 on here and 1 on CL for less than ebay prices but still good margin. I'd pick them up but they are 30+miles from me. Not worth it.

That store has been there since the mid 1970.. It was one of the original "new concept stores". Before Best Buy, they were called "Sound of Music". As with Ultimate Electronics used to be "Audio King".

This is a small market and includes Best Buy and Target. Considering the amount of accessories and the few Wii's available (read: ZER0). They may go clearance too. I will update as I find out more.

I don't think they know how to price their games. I don't think there's any uber-rare games there that they have. But they did price Skies of Arcadia (non-PC) at $15, and they priced Suikoden 3 at $40. So, clearly, their system hasn't been updated in a while. I only look for games I want, so I left their PS1/handheld games alone, but there may be some rarer titles for "cheap" if you've got time to spare, or you could possibly trade in some of your older games that are worthless...so long as they're Japanese-styled you should get a decent quote for them. (I got $9 for Y's which is pretty fair, considering that's what I paid for it on Ebay :X)

That's not a good sign. Even if some people have found a store that is willing to sell before the street date, the fact that there are enough used copies floating around to be noticed can only mean one thing: the game sucks, HARD. I would bet those are not the store gutted copies because a game cannot be sold before its street date, let alone being gutted, played, and then turned around to be sold as used before the street date.

I'm in the Elk River area - and yes, Target is closing down at the end of September. I have seen a few clearanced games,(not much to speak of) but come late September, you bet I'm going to keep an eye out. Kinda sad to see this Target go, its been the store I purchased my Wii, Gamecube and N64 on launch day :(

When I called ToysRUs they said they were not going to get Dead Space since it is M Rated. I then went over to the Richfield Bestbuy and they did a price match of the buy 3 for the price of 2. I got Dead Space (PS3), Saints Row 2 (360) and Silent Hill(360). Just ask back in gaming before you go to the front and make sure the manager on duty will do it for you.

Check the TRU website. Deadspace is on it. It stated a ship date of the 20th when I added it to the cart.

I just went to Best Buy for a price match on the B2G1. I picked up Saints Row 2, Dead Space, and Lego Batman (would have gotten Little Big Planet.. but i guess that is out next week). I had NO issues getting BBY to price match this deal. They knew about it when I went up to the register, and were very nice about it.

Turns out Best Buy in Minnetonka is now doing a midnight release for WOW Wrath of Lich King. They said originally they weren't scheduled to do it, but now they are!! I found Pure for the 360 in the Target clearance endcap. It was still $40, but it still seems to be retailing for $55-60 at most places. I got my copy at the Richfield Target and they had a few more. Rachet and Clank PS3 was going for the same price, but that seems like less of a bargain.

I found Pure for the 360 in the Target clearance endcap. It was still $40, but it still seems to be retailing for $55-60 at most places. I got my copy at the Richfield Target and they had a few more. Rachet and Clank PS3 was going for the same price, but that seems like less of a bargain.

When at Target, look for GRID for the XBOX 360. It's currently out of their system, so it scans at $0.00. Of course they won't give it to you at that price, but I said I found it on an endcap with a sign that said $7.99. So she rang it up w/ a dummy sku and sold it to me. Game normally sells for $50. To confirm go to one of those self-price-check scanners in the isle. It will show nothing for the price.

the only 'problem' with getting a refurb from Gamestop is it doesn't come with the data transfer cable -- BUT I can request one from Microsoft for free, if memory serves.. so that only affects me if I plan poorly.

Last thursday was at Brooklyn Center BB and they had Wii's and Wii fits' in stock on the shelf and in a glass case up by the checkouts. I know it's a little late, but they did have them incase someone still wants one.

My sis and my parents would like one, but I don't have the money for them to buy both. Maybe one for sis' b-day and parents for xmas.

I've haven't seen the # of PS3s drop at that store (I don't know what city either, I usually just say Edina cause I'm used to going to Southdale every once in awhile :lol:), but I don't know if that'll be the case when/if consoles go to 30% off. Good thing That CC and the one near me (Minnetonka) have a bunch of PSPs that I think will last until 40-50% off. I'm looking to grab one then.

I don't recall specifically, but I bought some Ispy PC games for the kids which probably could have been found at half price books (none left). I got a Halo 3 guide for $2.50 (only because I can return one I already bought). If you have been to any BB's lately, there was the typical clearance stuff only %75 of mostly original sticker so nothing I have not seen at other BB's on clearance. The EoJ was on the shelf for $70 a week ago so that was a drastic drop.

Any type of point card or gift card (i.e. iTunes) that didn't have packaging needed to be activated at a register upon purchase. After the liquidation started, apparently that functionality was taken out of the POS systems :cry:

So, they took all those types of cards down. The only ones any CC should be getting in stock and putting out will be the ones in the clamshell plastic packaging, as they are already pre-activated.

Been to 3 in St Paul(Midway, Grand, Highland), the 2 on Lake St, Richfield, Eden Prairie, Savage, both Burnsvilles, Apple Valley, and Eagan over the past 3 days.

The only BB with the 'good stuff'(Wii/decent 360 games) was Savage.

The clerk at the store the other day said that their wharehouse is now empty so unless you find a random card I doubt it is worth looking now. Now the question is will controllers last beyond 50% which will most likely start tomorrow.
