When the 360 is released will there be a price drop on the Xbox?

I get the feeling there doesnt necessarily need to be, xbox 1 can just be phased out like the fat PS2. Someone will buy them eventually.

I don't think there will be an official price drop, but there is likely to be more sales and/or promotions.

I read somewhere (xbox-scene.com or planetxbo360.com) awhile ago in an interview with some microsoft guy that there wouldn't be a price drop on the Xbox after the 360 launch because that would just encourage some to buy an xbox instead of a 360.

Yeah, I'd stick to EBAY...I'm sure LOTS will go up there once the 360 arrives. I know I'm selling one personally (I have TWO XBOX's)
