Just a heads up, saw this on the dashboard..

"XBox Live and XBox.com will be unavailable for approximately 24 hours on October 24 for upgrades. We apologize for any inconvenience."

So, of course, that means no Raw chat next week. Just a heads up.

Seriously, I expect about 15 cents to come with the 360! (after tax and everything here, it'd be $54.86 for a year card).

I'm really hoping that I was making this as a public service announcement and not me whining because Live will be down. I could care less if Live will be down (with the exception of the Raw chat), but I know some people here play Halo more often than they shower, so I figured I would post it here.

Oh, well, I'm sure I'll live.

Interesting notion about being compensated that people are bringing up. If the cable company can do it when your cable goes out, Microsoft can. I don't really care either way, though.

As much fun as it is to stand in one spot in Halo and warp halfway across the level without ever touching the controller, I think I'll manage without XBConnect.

I was just posted as a reminder to not worry about trying to play that day. Your post was actually useful to me, even though I don't really play that often. I hadn't heard or read anything about it until today..................................which I must be out of a major loop because I have been missing a lot of ino lately.

I know they are getting ready for the xbox 360 and its live service..but will there be any improvements to the current service on the xbox?

It would be nice if they could do something with the de-rankers in Halo 2. Set a set number of suicides before they are booted from the game.

Well, it seems that I did get compensated in some small way for the outage...

I have XBL on a monthly plan for now, until I can get a year-long card, so every month I get charged $5.99 + tax. For some reason, I didn't get charged tax this month, so I saved 48 cents...

It's OK I guess will just have to get used to it, only complaint is I cant access my Buddy List from it anymore until 360 launches apparently :cry: now I'll have to turn on my XB :shock: those bastards...

Live is never coming back. Live went on a drinking binge and decided to retire from the industry... sad and lonely. From what I hear, Live had an understudy and the understudy will take over sometime soon. You probably won't even notice the difference. :lol:

Tried out THAW a little while ago, and at the title screen, it logged me into XBL. Don't know if actual online gameplay is working, though.

Do you like it? I've been trying to rent it but nowhere has it in. I used to be addicted to the series but I haven't played any of them since THPS3.

Live's still down for me.

And I just opened THAW last night. I hadn't played a Hawk game since 2 on the Dreamcast. Story mode is merely okay, but classic mode rocks my cocks.

THAW is pretty good. I like the new animations for certain moves. I'll definitely pick this up when it's cheaper. Even just hanging around skating while listening to your favorite tunes is fun. :)
