ok i misses a test last week and went back today to take it.. the teacher goes you only get 50% since you missed it and he only gives out 3 tests... so i figure

3x100 =300 to pass you need 210 pts... say i mess up this test and get a 60 what = 30 - 210 = 180/2 meaning i would need 90 per test what there is no chance in hell of getting..... so i just got up and walked out. why should i stay and waste my time when there is no way to pass

Did you just not show up for the test because you didnt want to, or do you have a legit excuse? If you have a good reason for not showing up, talk to him/her about it, but if you didnt go because you didnt want to/weren't prepared you are screwed.

sorry Dates confused some freaking reason i thought it was the 12th

Test was taken early in morning our class was at 10 so i was told after i took it i was only getting 50%

okay here we go only go mon wed

took the test on the 5th (i didnt go cause i had food poison or something i was up all night) they said i had until the 12 to make it up.. well the 12 came and that day my cars brakes went out so i couldnt go and I gave him the doctors note today (cause i forgot it monday)

he goes i told you the test had to be made up by the 12 so im only give you 50% on this test and i was like DUDE I told you about the car ...... so i just walked out of the class... i took the stupid test that morning already though probally flunked it

point is say i got a 60% on it what would give me 30 points and like i said we do have 2 more test but i would have to hit a 90 avg on them... if i hit an 80 on the next one i would need 100 on the last and there is no way to get that..

i have until the 28th to drop the class..... i just walked out of class today cause i though Why the hell should i listen to this Dude talk for 2 hours when im not passing..... now if they would grade on the cruve it be different but they don t

heres a BIG Thing to remember when your in college... Even if you get SuB loans what the goverment pays the interest on , WATCH YOUR BILLS... i rejected a loan back in JAN 2000 but I just got a letter saying i owe them 142 bucks

so now i got to come up with 1,533 bucks by the end of the month (since im dropping my class it would knock me under half time, if your not half time you cant get loans)

funny story about college... I took this one science class back in 2002. the class room was always empty cause we was the first ones to use it for that day.. well one day i cracked the hell out of my hand on the door and yelled

Son of a #$#$#$ mother #$#$@# that stupid #$#$# Of a door

i turned the corner to get to the room and there was like 80 people in there taking a test. the entire room was quite and everyone was looking at the back of the room where i just entered

That's not being treated like shit, that's being a dumbass.

Besides, anything after high school = you are treated like shit. Welcome to life.

i think the next class i take in the spring i show up for the exams no matter what .. i just shit my pants and puke all over the test .. then again isnt this common for college test : )

Personally I don't blame the professor. You were given a fair deadline for a makeup. Why didn't you take it on the 10th? You knew you missed a test, yet you weren't prepared to take it the day you came back?
Even still the professor was generous and gave you yet another day to prepare. If you know you have to have a test and your car breaks, you find another way to get there at all costs. Sure, the professor is being a jerk but I've had worse some that wouldn't even let us miss a test with a doctors note. This is college not high school.

they take anyone as long as you got the $$$$.. i know on those test you take to get accepted... i know this one dude who said #$#$ the test and answered all the math questions with a 0

dude gets a letter back

your score in math was 0

You had a week to make it up. It's not the prof's fault you waited until the last minute and then couldn't make it.

Uhh he's saying you could only get a 50 out of 100, so if you made a 60%, he would mark it as a 50.. he's not saying he'll take 50% of whatever score you get.. I could be wrong, but even then, I think that's very generous, considering you could've been there on the 12th (Is it that hard to ask someone for a ride?).
