I just got this email from Sony and I thought that I should pass it along to you:

Dear PlayStation® Underground™ member,

Sony Computer Entertainment America will be conducting focus groups to discuss portable video games on the evening of October 27, in the New York area.

The discussion will last approximately 90 minutes. All who qualify to participate will be paid $100.

We have hired an independent research company, Focus Pointe, to conduct these discussions. If you would like more information or would like to participate, PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, call 1-800-220-3730 and ask for James White to discuss the "Portable Gaming Study."

Thanks,

Sony Computer Entertainment America

i've never been to NY, and $100 won't even cover transportation.

Apparently what the e-mail forgot to mention was that its ages 12-17. I got the call back and was told that after I gave my age (I'm 30). She said everyone she called was too old so far, and I told her that most GAP members (who are the ones this survey went out to) were at least 18. She was shocked and had to let her manager know. I wonder if they even had this yesterday because of that.

Shit, Most gamers are at least 18 and gamers over 18 are the ones that actally have the money to spend on video games.

Not that I know of. I seem to get GAP e-mails about 2-3 times a month.
