Okay, so I ran into a local GameStop that still has a few hold over games for older systems. It's basically the one local GS store where all the other store old stock was dumped. In any case, they have a bin with SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, etc. type games with BIG signs on each side of the bin advertising SALE on this older stuff. The only thing is, ALL of the price tags/prices are the same they have been when the items were on a small display shelf the last time I was in the store.
Oh but wait, it gets better...Not only have the prices not changed for this "SALE", but, when these games were on the small display shelf, it had a sign stating 50% off. Yep, that's right, they used to be 50% off, now, they are in a bin marked SALE, yet, there are more expensive than before. This doesn't even take into account that a little while back GameStop had the Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale which could even be used on top of the 50% off.
Gee, what a great bargain. Now that these items are in a special "SALE" bin they are more than 50% (if you consider 50% off and B2G1F) higher priced than they were just a while back. I guess they decided the effort of moving them about 15 feet away was worth asking the higher price...lol. There is also the fact that these games haven't been touched in so long that many of the price stickers on them don't even have correct pricing (i.e. what's in the computer). In a few cases, duplicate games all have different prices...hope the lowest one is the right one.

On a bit of a side note, I've started seeing a few XBOX titles drop in price (and shelf space being squeezed up) in order to make room for the XBOX 360. Looks like there will be some good CAG days in the near future for XBOX gamers. :}~~~
