Hey CAGCast, I've been theorizing that the future of Skylanders is the eventual Licensing of properties to make into skylander style games and toys. I'm not a media insider as you gents are, so I'm wondering if this is a plausible theory? If so, what properties would you like to take skylander form? Marvel and Star Wars come immediately to mind in terms of pure money making juggernauts... but I wouldn't mind if Toho's Kaiju Pantheon or Gundams could possibly fit in there (a man can dream).

For anyone, or just Wombat: Dragon Age or Skyrim?

I bought DA a week ago because of the Amazon PC sale and I'm enjoying it. I'm playing on the PC so the inclusion of highres texture mods and better controls make the experience great. I put a huge amount of time in Skyrim (also PC) and minus the bugs, it was OK. Looking back, I just see that DA has much more personality. The story, the combat, the setting, the companions, etc. Skyrim is more open-ended and leaves a lot of room for exploration, but I think that's the only edge I'll give Skyrim.

So, which does Wombat prefer? (I've only played a few hours of DA and haven't dived into Awakening or DA2, and I've only heard bad things about DA2...)

Cheapy and Ship have said that the Vita should spend a little less time trying to give us the same kind of games as PS3 and 360 do. That Vita should concentrate on portable games.

While this was great advice in the PSP intro timeframe, is it still valid? If you want to play "portable games" you can play them much more cheaply on iOS devices and you may even have an iPhone already. It would seem the PSVita has to concentrate on the kind of games you cannot get for $3 on iOS, and that does get uncomfortably close to the kind of games you already play on consoles.

So where does the PSVita fit now? Is the window it is aiming at just no longer open? Am I doomed to play portable games with crummy on-screen touchsticks?

Mass Effect 3 ending is affected by the "Galaxy at War" rating, the higher the raiting the better your ending possible can be, not effected too much after finishing the game myself (I played online to get 100% rating) but the percentage effects your troops gathred in single player

my question is what if you don't have xbox live or unable to get it for whatever reason, do you deserve to get a worse ending after a trilogy such as big as this game after investing your time in it

After watching The Adventures of Tin Tin recently, one of the first thoughts I had was how with a few tweaks, the film could have made for a great Uncharted movie. Do you think video-game-to-film adaptations could benefit from using more advanced motion capture technology to make a more mature animated film rather than hiring actors for a live action version? In the case of Uncharted, an animated version of that film would allow Nolan North to reprise his role as Nathan Drake, thus keeping fans of the franchise happy. I know Final Fantasy has already gone the CGI route but maybe now that games are a bit more mainstream the public would receive this idea a bit better.

I was just wondering what your thoughts are on the potential sale of goozex? Do you think the dollar amount is a fair number, and what could this mean to CAG trading?

Here is a quick summary of the events.....

Goozex is being bought out by SecureLogic Corp, an acquisition company, for $150,000. The previous Goozex management all appear (via LinkedIn) to have new VP jobs at other businesses. The old owners have agreed to an NDA and will not comment on it; the new owners do not appear eager to show themselves on the forums.

SecureLogic does not seem to be the type of company with Goozex's long term interest in mind. There are lots of ways that they could benefit financially from Goozex in the short term, but none of them would appear to be in the best interest of the site or its users. Their past history in particular would indicate that their goal is to cash out quick and move on.

About all these used game rumors for the new Xbox and Playstation:

What if all it was really was a way to limit trophies and achievements. Buy a game used? Cannot earn achievements. Maybe this is the next step in achievements, because what if you could then use those achievements to "purchase" DLC. Option one: pay money, option two: spend achievements earned from games purchased new. What do you guys think?

Personally I cannot see a complete used game lock out. Even though it was proven each disc is unique due to the PSP --> Vita disc to digital upgrade over in Japan. If they do lock out used games, they'll have to go the route of Steam/PC. Meaning cheap CHEAP games and tons of deals. Cheap as in the games go for sale commonly for $10-$20. I do not know anyone who pays $60 for a PC game like they do for console games, the digital sales are just so frequent and in your face.

Also, both Xbox and Playstation seem to be pushing digital copies of full games. But with the new consoles on the horizon, how long will they support all the old XBLA titles / PSN games? They want us to go digital, but will not transfer those games to the new console? Seems like failure before launch. Why buy the next gen games digitally, when we know they'll stop supporting them.

Even if your downloadable content doesn’t carry over to your next system, it likely won’t disappear the day the next Xbox or PlayStation is released. No, that is not sufficient. When I paid for it, I thought I was buying it. Not renting it for 2 years. Just another reason next gen cannot go full digital, and never will. PCs are upgradable, consoles are not. We have to buy new consoles every gen, but all your Steam games will stay forever.

Let's say, in the next cycle of game consoles, publishers put out games (singleplayer or multiplayer) that can only be used on one console without having to purchase an inflated activation fee. What happens to customers without the Internet? Surely, this would hurt all sales and not just used game sales.

Following this thought bubble: Say publisher tactics to eliminate the used game market affects new and used game sales, would this affect CAG? Would a crippled used game market affect CAG?

Do you guys think the misguided need to add multiplayer to a series that did not require it caused Bioware to rush/short change the ending to ME3? It seems like those development $'s could have been better spent on the single player game that everyone wanted than throwing in another (albeit a pretty good one) multiplayer environment that will just be discarded when the next Gears of Halo Dutyfield comes out in 4.7 seconds. The annual update genres (sports, fighting, FPS) doesn't produce games that live forever in part because the servers required to support them will eventually go dark. A great stand alone game can always be pulled off the shelf and intro'd to a new generation. Its a shame Bioware didn't realize this.

Hey guys, love the show. The ME3 Spoilercast was fantastic. Loved getting your opinion on the ending. Wanted to pick your brain about the Extended Cut.

I've been following Mike Gamble's Twitter feed and it seems as though BioWare is in the voice over stage of the Extended Cut, which I would assume means that is one of the last things they work on for any DLC or game, for that matter. One of the rumored release dates I've heard is May 29th, but I have also heard that June 19th is the more likely candidate. Any thoughts or opinions? I would like to hope that it is May 29th, but June 19th seems likely, so that they can possibly talk a little bit about it at E3.

I love the cagcast. I'm keeping up with the new releases and have been working my way up from episode #1 for a while now. I'm at about ep 220, so im almost all caught up.

Anyway, my question is mainly for Shipwreck and Wombat since I know Cheapy's job is CAG.
- How do you guys feel about your day jobs? Wombat, I know in the earlier episodes you had some really shitty jobs and would talk about them in the show. Has that changed or do you still dread the fact that you have to go to work every day? Shipwreck, I know you've said that you work in a cubicle and have gotten bored at work on occasion. Do you enjoy what you do or are you only doing it for the money?

Personally, I also have a cubicle job. I am miserable almost every second that I'm there and can't wait until I find something else so that I can quit. The work isn't challenging at all and i'm bored all the time. I was curious if any of you guys had to deal with the same thing and how you handled/fixed it.

Since Microsoft and Sony have said that they're not announcing or talking about their next systems at E3, how much stock do you put into any of the rumors that are swirling about their next consoles? The Wii U rumors last year were a bit different since the flood of rumors could be proven as true or false a few weeks later during Nintendo's E3 press conference, but now we're looking at up to another year of rampant speculation until Microsoft and Sony can give us relief from the can't miss sources and ludicrous rumors that come from a friend of a friend of a crazy homeless person that lives next to a Microsoft employee. I don't see any reason to really care about any of these rumors until Microsoft or Sony pre-announces their press conference that will finally give us the information that we seek.

Hey guys, according to a new report by My Nintendo News and several other sources, it looks like UbiSoft has "accidentally" leaked some details about the Wii U, such as price, release date, and an achievements system. If Wii U decides to go ahead with the achievements-like system, what do you think it should be called, what should it look like, how should it work?

Personally, I would like to see them follow through with their Mario background and make their achievements/trophies called Coins, where each one is shaped like one of the Mario Coins and have the achievement pictures on one side. They can have the same objectives it takes to get the achievement or trophy on Xbox 360 and PS3, but just have them more Nintendo-like. Thoughts?
