Is WoW a form of Spyware? (http://www.tgdaily.com/2005/10/24/world_of_warcraft_warden_is_it_spyware/index.html)

I think its a sadder fact that this kind of stuff is actually needed because people cant be trusted to just play the damn game without cheating.

And if Blizzard monitored what was going on on your pc what would they find out? That you play WoW all day? ;)

On a serious note they could use it to see what other games you have, your preferences and such. And then they can use that to produce a game that fits a huge crowd (besides WoW). IDK its a crazy world.

Yeah, no shit.

Man, the Blizzard employees monitoring this are going to have a field day. From links to hentai, night elf pr0n, emails and chat messages to loser friends, etc...and this is if they get ahold of a "casual" gamer. Hard core ones will never log off of WoW during their waking hours.

Normally I'd be more afraid of spyware on my pc...but c'mon, this is almost laughable. Spyware is a bad thing...but heh, the fact that Blizzard has to monitor my pc, just to keep other people from cheating. I'm not really happy with this.

posted this awhile ago O.o

BTW the guy who is making so much effort in this makes cheats for WoW. So think about that.
