Ok, here's the short story, they sent me Digital Devil Saga 2 with no bonus cd soundtrack.
Call #1 (next day the game shipped, I had first day air): Explained to them I didn't receive the bonus soundtrack, the rep said she got that call alot, and she put forward a new order for me and I'd get it in a few days.
Call #2 (a week later): I call to tell them I still haven't gotten it, the rep apologizes, tells me it's not in stock, but it should be in stock in a day or two and they will next day mail it to me. Ok, cool, works for me.
Call #3 (another week later): I call to say it STILL hasn't gotten there, rep apologized profusely, says they just put the order in over the phone and I should expect it by Friday.
I'm about to make my FOURTH call, with today being Tuesday, and still no cd soundtrack, which was the only reason I ordered through that fucking company (plus I had the 20% off coupon). Any advice on what I should do now? I think I'll go straight to a supervisor this time.

Remember: It's worth your time, but never worth getting angry about.
If it comes to it... did you pay with a credit card?

Yea, I did... could I really do a charge back though, seeing as how I actually got the game itself?

I have dealt with gamestop.com once and I will never deal with them again. Moral of the story, don't deal with them.
Sad but true. At least you got the game you ordered.

I'd call again. Take the name and number of who ever you are talking to immediately. Then immediately ask to talk to their supervisor. Have them try to fix it. Make sure you get their name and number. If a supervisor says it will get fixed and doesn't keep calling back, getting names and going higher.
Eventually you will get to someone who can fix your problem.
Final thought. Keep calm....getting angry will just make it worse.

The trick is patience, persistence, and a calm demeanor. I would immediately call back and tell them that you want the item shipped priority so you have it in 2-3 days. If the rep is unable to do this (of course they will say they can not do this) ask to speak with a supervisor. Do not let them discourage you by saying "oh, we can't do that no matter who you talk to etc etc.". When you get to a supervisor, politely explain the situation and remember, tell them what you want. Very rarely are people going to offer you a good resolution, you have to present what you want. This should get you the soundtrack in good time, I've had excellent experience with Gamestop over these kinds of issues. However, if for whatever reason this doesn't work I would tell her that you will have to file a chargeback as the item was not as described (you don't want a refund, you're the one in charge here) and that they should email you a shipping package to return it. You have to sometimes play hardball but just remember to keep cool and it will work out for you.

I'm not sure to what specific coupon you refer, but don't gamestop.com coupons generally negate any bonus items? Most of their coupons state that they are invlid on items with bonuses, but I think the way they handle it is to just not send the bonus item, rather than not letting one use the coupon. I may be wrong, and even if I am right, you can probably get them to send the cd.

Ok, 4th call:
Called, talked to the rep, got the same story... "They just came in, we'll ship one out next day..." to which I said "No, stop, I have heard this three other times now, just connect me to a supervisor".
The supervisor talked to me for about ten minutes, explained to me that some of the "premiums" got lost so some people didn't get them. She then says that FedEx DID deliver the package with the bonus cd they mailed, but they just left it at the door. Now, I live in a really good neighboorhood, and there is ALWAYS someone at my house since my Dad is retired. Why would someone steal a bonus cd but not my two $50 + orders from Wherehouse.com, or hell, even the game itself?
I went along with this, she then told me that "they had some problems with FedEx, so I am printing a label out now and I will mail it through the US Postal Office". She said I should expect it November 4th, but in the meantime I should "contact FedEx about why they are just leaving packages at my door".
This story seems VERY fishy, and I will contact FedEx and see what packages they have dropped off for me and from who... we'll see if Gamestop is lying to me or not.

I Have not got my Soundtrack either. I emailed them and got a response from a representative telling me they had order problems and should be out soon.

Tell them that this experience will make you think twice next time you want to buy a game.... maybe they'll give you something free or like a 50% off code. :)

Here's the worst part - not only are they still offering the soundtrack on their website, but allegedly some people who ordered after the release of the game have gotten the soundtrack from gamestop.com. The last time I called (I think about a week ago) they claimed they had just gotten some in, and they were "trying to get them out." The CSR didn't exactly sound like she knew what she was talking about though.

I tried to get some sort of compensation, they didn't seem to care about keeping me as a customer.
The fact that this one is going through USPS now gives me a little bit of hope... but shit, they gave me no new tracking # when they "supposedly" shipped it out through FedEx again gives me no ground to stand on if I do call them up.
She said gave it until November 4th for USPS... on November 5th, if I still haven't got it, I'll be giving a call to my credit card company, on the grounds that Gamestop is billing me full price for an incomplete order. Honestly, the only reason I paid full price for the game was for that soundtrack, I love Atlus soundtracks.

I've gotten this excuse 4 times now. And it DOES piss me off that people can order it brand new off the website and receive the soundtrack, yet I PREORDERED, didn't receive it, and they keep lying to me about getting it out.

You have to realize these CDs are extremely difficult to "get out". They kick and scream and pinch you and get back in the crate and scurry away to the dark corners of the warehouse. I'm sure if you tried getting a few of the bastards you'd be a lot more understanding.

Well, If you would like to get a soundtrack, I can see if I can grab a few from work and send them out. Just need some money to cover shipping. But thats if you want. Send me a PM if intersted. I could probably get 2-3 soundtracks.

Same exact thing happened to me. I knew it would be a huge hassle like you're describing, so I said fuck it.

I say quit wasting your time calling them, do a charge back on the 5th if it's not there, never order from them again, and forget about it. An almost as bad (or maybe more so, depends on how you look at it) thing recently happened to me from them. I preordered Serious Sam II primarily for the signed Greg Horn print. They sent me the print, but they sent it with the game in a bubble mailer, so it is completely fucked up. Sadly, I didn't even bother calling and complaining, for I knew I wouldn't get anywhere. What are they going to do? Send me another one in a another bubble mailer... Reason #4,728,000,000 that I detest the fact that eb is going away. I'm just hoping I not going to get fucked out of my 360 preorder due to gamestop's dumbfuck new policy on it. Funny, I thought when you put down a deposit on a preorder, that locked you in a spot. I guess not in Gamestop's eyes...

You're best off mailing your receipt for the game to Atlus directly. I was pointed to another thread on the boards here, which linked to a thread on the official Atlus forums about what to do if you didn't get a soundtrack with your pre-order.

That has all of the information. They warned that they were running low on them awhile back. Still, IMO, it's your next best bet since I've read so many reports of folks getting the same runaround from GS.

I realize this option may not appeal to you, but give your local GS a call and explain the situation. They may have a few promo CD's just lying around. It's worth a shot.
And no, I'm not saying that this is something you should have to do. I know how you feel. I went through this same situation with EB World (yes, World) when Symphony of the Night released. No soundtrack or artbook for me. :bomb:

So, to wrap this situation up, I finally received my DDS 2 soundtrack cd in the mail today. It was in a padded envelope with my name and address hand written on the front, delivered by USPS.
For everyone still waiting, call up, ask the rep about this, you'll get the typical "blah blah we'll mail it out today" and then go straight to a supervisor, and ask them if you can get an envelope delivered by USPS instead of Fed - Ex. I called last week sometime, I think Friday, and received it today.
