After a long drought (4 months), I finally found a new job. I will be working for Hotwire.com. I just wanted to share with you all...I'm very happy to have more money for my games now :D

doraemonkerpal, I was ZForce317. But that number extension thing was because more often than not I couldn't just have ZForce. But the 317 was a date, and that date was an anniversary for an old girlfriend. So I thought it was high time to get rid of it. CheapyD helped me out.

As for the job, I'll be assisting customers with stuff they couldn't figure out themselves. :D Everything they need is on the website, but sometimes they can't figure it out...so that's where I come in.

Also, if you do decide to book a flight online...never expect to be able to change anything. With these discount airfare places (Hotwire, Expedia, Priceline), once you set a date and pay, you're locked in. No changes. No refunds. Just a FYI.

I'm going to get something they call "Hot dollars" (I think that is the name). I can earn them along the way and use them toward airfare/hotels/cars.

But I can't get any better "deals". I get the same stuff you would.

Haha. I just found this thread (nearly two years later) and had to rehash it for fun.

I have moved up to Customer Care Supervisor in that time. And went through many a bottle of asprin dealing with the "escalated" phone calls.

God how I love and hate dealing with the public. It completes me in a way.

Ha. I get 'em daily. People are very different over the phone. I don't think people would talk the way they do if I were looking them in the face.

I can sum up all the frustrations I have about my job like this. Nobody takes responsibility for their actions anymore. "I know it's non-refundable, but..." I get that call 5 times a day at a minimum. "If you want to keep me as a customer then you'll make the exception". That is my favorite one. my response to that is basically, if you need us to break and bend the rules to keep you happy then so long and thanks for coming.
