Im down sizing my cd collection and I want to put some multi cd games onto one dvd. I just want to know if its possible.

You should be able to. Although I cant try with out a DVD burner. If the game requires the disk to play then I dont think it will work. Use it only to keep the data.

in theory yes it should work since all the other disc just contain a .cab file so you should be able to, BUT there copy-protections problems.

Get a copy of Alcohol 120% and rip .iso files of the CDs. Then you can put the .iso on a dvd like any other file. When you want to go back and play it, put the .iso of the play disc back on your computer and mount it to a virtual drive within Alcohol 120%. Most games will work with this, but some will detect the virtual drive and not allow you to play.

If you make images/isos of each individual CD and burned all of them onto one DVD, I don't see why it wouldn't work

I haven't done much myself but have put all of Dawn of War and it's expansion onto one DVD.
