I have done everything I can think of. Everytime I go to some websites all I get instead of a pic is a frame and a little box in the upper hand corner that shows a square, circle and triangle in a white box, and some people's avatars will show a red x in a white box and next to that will say blah blahs avatar. I know its just this one computer cause I used my mac and the other pc I built and those websites worked fine. btw xp w/sp2 and the latest updates. I hate asking for help I appreciate it though, However I feel like with what I know I should be able to fix this.
This is why I hate being self taught about computers. what I mean by that? see below

Does it happen on more than one browser? Probably spyware. Grab Adaware/Spybot and go hunting.

It is probably due to slow loading of thepage i get that sometimes , all you do if you want to see the pic is right click and select shwow picture and it will load that specific part of the page

Bingo. It does it to me too when there's heavy traffic on the site. Nothing to worry about.
