I feel a little embarrassed asking this, because i'm sort of a PC junkie/nerd, but i'm having a interesting media playback problem. I download the family guy movie and wanted to watch it. So i got to the file and right clicked on it and notice a option at the bottom that said "Play on my" i highlighted it and it showed my two monitors. So i clicked my main one and it played on it normally, but on my second monitor it was maximized and wouldn't let me get rid of it. Do you guys have any clues what setting i have it on so i can change it back so it only shows on the windows media player of my choice, i would greatly appreciate it!

bump
nobody?
Just out of curiosity, what format is it in?
Anyway..."play on my" isn't a standard shell option (I don't think) so some other piece of software must have put it there as part of its shell integration.
Why not just start the media player you want _first_, then file->open or drag and drop the file you want to watch.
If you want to change the default application when you double-click a file of that type, you have to open up a (file) explorer window and then...
Tools->Folder Options->File Types
Then find the extension you want to change the association of, highlight it, then hit the change button and point it to the player you want.
I think that's it, unless I'm totally misunderstanding your question.

figured it out, it happened to be in the latest Nvidia forceware drivers and i happened to try the option out and it screwed it up. Lame, i had to uninstall and reinstall.
