Timing was actually perfect. Not long after one of my rounds on ebay I had learned that H.I.M. was finally gonna be in Tx so I took some of the ebay profits and secured tickets for the Houston Tx show at the Verizon Wireless Theatre.
The set list was-
Vampire Heart
Right Here in My Arms
Soul on Fire
Wicked Game
Under the Rose
Join Me
It's All Tears
Killing Loneliness
Buried Alive by Love
Your Sweet 666
Play Dead
Poison Girl
The Sacrament
The Crimson Door
Razorblade Kiss
Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly
Encore: Poison Heart (Ramones Cover)
Overall it wasnt bad. Skin Dred was the first group out and I got a kick out of them. The music they played when they came out was the Emperor's music from Star Wars but it had some heavy bass tracks laced in and it sounded cool. We had a guy that constantly tried starting a mosh pit and was pi**ing more people off than getting to join in. One guy ended up tripping him and he did a header into the concrete floor and was knocked the f'out. Security came and got him, took him out, and evicted him overall. After that it was smooth sailing. I felt bad but at the same time he deserved what he got. I as well as many others didnt spend money for that crap. The next band was Finch and I had never heard of them and didnt really care for them so I went and bought some goodies. Props to Houston Verizon Wirelss for carrying Shiner Bock! Overall I was extremely pleased with H.I.M. in general and will def make a trip to dang near anywhere in Tx to see them again!
Best part overall for me is walking away with this-
