Gunstar Heros-- tons of slowdown?

Just curious if this game has a TON of slowdown or if it's just my xbox/shitty genesis emu.

I want to buy the original copy, but not if it's got as much slowdown as I'm experiencing....

I've got an original Genesis cartridge, and I don't ever remember it having slowdown. Then again, I found it needlessly frustrating (along the lines of the original NES Contra), so I never played more than a couple of levels into it at a given time. :D

I'm pretty sure the ROM has always had a problem with slowdown. The actual cart has a couple places where it slows down, but nothing too major.

I've got neogenesis emu on my xbox for it and don't remember any slowdown. I also played the game like a billion times on a cart and remember more slowdown on the cart then on my emu. Treasure 4 eva!

One or two place on the cart where it sometimes slows but those are barely noticable, if you blink you miss em. Get it, you wont regret it!

There are 2 big Genesis emus for the Xbox. I know one is better for Sega CD, while the other has an option to "overclock" the emulator. Try using the emu you're not using.

Also, I believe the Genesis had a thingie in its CPU that allows it to be overclocked quite easily, and it was something developers could choose to flip on or off. Maybe Gunstar Heroes switches it on, but the emu doesn't?

it's a little slow when there's a ton of action going on.
Treasure really pushed the Genny to the max with the game.
I never noticed it taking away from the fun though

Guardian Heroes is the greatest game ever. First and only 6 player fighting game. The only thing that I love and annoys me about the game is that sometimes so much crap is going on you can't see your character. The sequel to that game on GBA made me vomit.
