Anyone remember this game? Any hope of a remake, or a new Lolo game? There's been a lot of retro stuff lately, was wondering if anyone has heard anything. There was a bunch of them, so I assume it had a decent amount of popularity at the time.

I remember it and didn't think too highly of it as I thought it was basically a blue Pac-Man in a Zelda-type game... though I remember it being quite popular when I was a kid.

I really like all of them when I was a kid. I wouldn't mind seeing all three come to a GBA cart for cheap.

Awesome games. The theme song gets stuck in my head to this day. I keep hoping to find cheap carts of Lolo 2 & 3, but haven't been lucky yet. I actually just introduced my wife to the series a couple of months ago and she really got into it.

Im in the same boat as you. I love it, but only have part 1 and the others are just too pricey. My wife would never play it tho, she wont touch old games, she's such a graphics whore. ;)

They're some of my favorite games ever. Great great puzzle games.

I thought the artwork for the game looked cool. I don't know why this is taking up a piece of the limited space in my brain, but I seem to remember when there was a feature on it in Nintendo Power with the eight or so various family members in the game? Am I thinking of the right thing? Like a grandma.. father .. etc.. always intrigued me.. I never played it tho...

I did a classic guide on the first Lolo game for an issue of Game Informer a few years back -- first time I played it, and really enjoyed it.

Little bit of trivia: Lolo and Lala were enemy characters in the Puyo Pop-esque Kirby's Avalanche on SNES.

Yes, I like all of the Lolo games. They are great puzzle games. They are pretty tough too.

Is it jsut me or did anyone else get actually scared playing that game? I would often not even notice a Medusa and I would walk in her path and my death would physically startle me.

I remember renting it from Albertsons back in the day. Fun game. For some reason or another, I haven't played it in a long time. I should remedy that.

When I was a kid, I used to think that the Medusas were actually fir trees that shot deadly pine needles. Hey, the graphics weren't that great!

Christ, I thought the same exact thing. In fact, when I typed that last thing, I originally typed "trees" but changed it in fear of being rediculed.

My favorite enemies were the little lizard looking things that didn't do anything but stand there. It was always frustrating to figure out that one of those guys was standing in your way and you had already used up all your "egg shooters". (I have no idea what Lolo shot, but I always thought they were like eggs because of the way they cracked open).

And yes, I thought the Medusas were trees as well. I think I always referred to them as Medusa trees though, so I was obviously more advanced as a child. :)

Another great thing about this game was the "suicide button". Anytime you got stuck on a board or made a mistake, it was time to hit "select" and make Lolo kill himself. Thank God we don't have narcoleptic cats that fall asleep when we touch them and trap us in rooms in the real world.
