I just purchased a powder blue LT authentic and want to figure out a way to frame it for cheap. Either frame it, or find some way to mount it or hang it for display in my room. Any suggestions?

By the way, this will eventually be autographed sometime before I die.

Just curious, but do some athletes charge for signatures?

Good luck with the framing, btw!

Some athletes that are assholes DO charge, which sucks.

LOL.. thanks for suggesting me to I'd nail it to the wall.

I made two threads because I figured some people don't look in here, and I made that other topic kind of OT.

I've just won this jersey on eBay for $40.95 shipped, great deal for me. I was originally going to pay someone $80 shipped, but I checked eBay just over an hour ago and saw an auction at $25.00 with like 15 minutes remaining, so I came in at the last second and stole it.

Hell no. First of all, I don't wear big clothing. The smallest size in authentics is 48, which goes down to my knees.

I decided to just get the cheapest authentic I could get, and then display it in my room and eventually get it autographed. I'll stick to wearing replicas.

My friend bought a stitched replica for a good price at the mall, so I may consider getting one of those to wear if I can find one at a good price.

If you bought the AUTHENTIC with everything sewed on for $41 then congrats you just bought a knock off. THe Replicas retail for $75.

I've seen some pretty good knockoffs though and wouldn't mind having a couple.

I didn't buy the authentic with everything sewed on.. I bought a real authentic. Replicas aren't sized the same way as authentics and are priced over $200.

They sell the knockoffs at the mall. Example: the chargers powder blue has the numbers and lettering stitched on, but the sides are printed in like on a replica.

It depends on the route you want to go. You can do it yourself if you have any skills with framing/shadowboxing or can go to a art/frame shop and have it professionally framed and mounted... I dont have jerseys framed but I do have my single and double Louisville sluggers that I broke with a single shin kick shadowboxed and each box was roughly about $150 each to get that done professionally, and that was with a discount since I knew the framer.... For a jersey, I would say to get that done right would be a minium of $75 and thats pretty cheap...

Hey dude, you live in California, Michael's (which should be out where you live too) generally has a coupon in their Sunday ad's for 50% off any custom framing job, you may want to check that out, they've got tons of frames to choose from and they could probably even suggest something since they've probably done a few here and there.

If you plan on getting it signed, I would wait to frame it. You could frame it in a non-intrusive way, but generally speaking if you ever plan to remove something from a frame, you shouldn't be getting it framed. At least not a custom job where they mount it.

how tall are you? How does a 48 go down to your knees?

I was about to ask the same thing...

I'm 5'8". I tried on a 48 at a sports store. I don't know if he just gave me the wrong size, but I specifically asked him for a 48 or 50 to try on. He said they had 48's and he handed me one. The jersey went down to my knees.
